貴(gui)南(nan)縣中學成(cheng)立于1958年(nian)3月(yue)16日,當時借(jie)用魯倉(cang)寺院的房舍作教室,剛建(jian)校時,有(you)初一學生(sheng)16名(ming),教師5名(ming)。
1960年教師增加到8名(ming),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)生達到57名(ming),分為(wei)三個班級(ji),遂成立(li)貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)縣(xian)(xian)初級(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)。1961年3月(yue)(yue)(yue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校從魯(lu)倉寺(si)院(yuan)搬遷到縣(xian)(xian)林(lin)業站(zhan)。1962年7月(yue)(yue)(yue)第一(yi)屆初三班學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)生畢業。1964年元(yuan)月(yue)(yue)(yue)份在海南(nan)(nan)(nan)州召開(kai)關(guan)于撤銷貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)的(de)會(hui)議,認(ren)為(wei)貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)生缺乏,決定撤銷,當年九(jiu)月(yue)(yue)(yue)成立(li)了貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)民(min)族寄宿制完全(quan)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),取代貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。1967年3月(yue)(yue)(yue)恢復(fu)重建貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),在縣(xian)(xian)城(cheng)關(guan)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)以戴帽的(de)形式設初中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)。1975年,貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)和城(cheng)關(guan)小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)正式分開(kai),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校遷往(wang)現在校址。從此貴(gui)(gui)南(nan)(nan)(nan)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)不斷(duan)發(fa)展,并在80午代初期被評為(wei)全(quan)省(sheng)23所重點中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)之(zhi)一(yi)。
在縣(xian)委、縣(xian)政府的(de)高(gao)度(du)重視下,學校各(ge)項工(gong)作有了(le)很大進步(bu),特別是2008年(nian)秋(qiu)季開(kai)始(shi)的(de)全州(zhou)教育布局結構調整中,該校被(bei)列為定點建設(she)(she)學校,使貴南(nan)縣(xian)中學的(de)硬(ying)件建設(she)(she)和軟件建設(she)(she)有了(le)跨躍式發展(zhan)。
2008年時,該(gai)校占(zhan)地(di)面(mian)積約40900平方米,建筑面(mian)積約6350平方米;全(quan)校兩(liang)大團(tuan)隊共有(you)(you)(you)95名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),其中(zhong)(zhong)教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)閉隊68名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(正(zheng)式在編數師59名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),代(dai)課教(jiao)(jiao)師9名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)),教(jiao)(jiao)師中(zhong)(zhong)本科(ke)學(xue)(xue)(xue)歷的有(you)(you)(you)36名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),大專學(xue)(xue)(xue)歷32名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),高級(ji)職(zhi)稱(cheng)20名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),中(zhong)(zhong)級(ji)職(zhi)稱(cheng)12名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),教(jiao)(jiao)師隊伍結(jie)構(gou)合理(li),素質(zhi)明顯提高。后勤團(tuan)隊27名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),其中(zhong)(zhong)教(jiao)(jiao)師編制的2名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),正(zheng)式職(zhi)工10名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),“4045”11名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),學(xue)(xue)(xue)校自雇4名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)。現有(you)(you)(you)學(xue)(xue)(xue)生(sheng)930名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)班21個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),其中(zhong)(zhong)初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)部12個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge)班,569名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)學(xue)(xue)(xue)生(sheng);高中(zhong)(zhong)部9個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge)班,361名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)學(xue)(xue)(xue)生(sheng)。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校現有(you)(you)(you)圖書(shu)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),藏(zang)書(shu)11400冊(ce),閱覽室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),每(mei)年訂有(you)(you)(you)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)類教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)報刊230種,學(xue)(xue)(xue)校設(she)(she)物理(li)實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)二個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),化學(xue)(xue)(xue)實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),生(sheng)物實(shi)(shi)驗(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),多媒體教(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),語音(yin)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),汁(zhi)算機教(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),衛星地(di)面(mian)接受站2座,建成了校園廣播系統和閉路(lu)電視系統。設(she)(she)體育(yu)器材室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),多功能電子琴(qin)教(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),美術室(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)(ge)(ge),校園環境不(bu)斷(duan)綠化和美化,學(xue)(xue)(xue)生(sheng)住宿條(tiao)件(jian)得到明顯改善。
