《四庫(ku)全書(shu)總目提要(yao)》中的介(jie)紹
不(bu)著(zhu)撰(zhuan)人名(ming)氏。卷(juan)首但題曰育(yu)吾山人。《明(ming)史(shi)·藝文(wen)志(zhi)》有(you)萬民育(yu)《三命(ming)(ming)會通》十二(er)卷(juan),與(yu)(yu)此(ci)本卷(juan)數相合(he),惟以(yi)通會作會通,為(wei)(wei)(wei)稍異(yi),考(kao)世所(suo)(suo)(suo)傳(chuan)《星學大(da)成》一書,為(wei)(wei)(wei)萬民英所(suo)(suo)(suo)撰(zhuan)。英字(zi)育(yu)吾,與(yu)(yu)此(ci)本所(suo)(suo)(suo)題合(he),當亦(yi)(yi)出民英之(zhi)(zhi)手(shou)。《藝文(wen)志(zhi)》蓋誤(wu)以(yi)民英為(wei)(wei)(wei)民育(yu),又通會二(er)字(zi)傳(chuan)寫互倒(dao)耳。自(zi)明(ming)以(yi)來談星命(ming)(ming)者(zhe),皆以(yi)此(ci)本為(wei)(wei)(wei)總匯,幾(ji)于家有(you)其書。中間(jian)所(suo)(suo)(suo)載(zai)仕宦八字(zi),往(wang)(wang)往(wang)(wang)及(ji)明(ming)季之(zhi)(zhi)人,蓋后(hou)來坊(fang)刻所(suo)(suo)(suo)攙入(ru),已(yi)非其舊。然其闡發子(zi)平(ping)之(zhi)(zhi)遺(yi)法,于官印(yin)財祿食傷之(zhi)(zhi)名(ming)義,用(yong)神(shen)之(zhi)(zhi)輕重,諸(zhu)神(shen)煞所(suo)(suo)(suo)系之(zhi)(zhi)吉兇,皆能采撮群言,得其精要(yao),故為(wei)(wei)(wei)術家所(suo)(suo)(suo)恒(heng)用(yong),要(yao)有(you)未可(ke)遽廢(fei)者(zhe)。至其立論多取正(zheng)官正(zheng)印(yin)正(zheng)財,而(er)不(bu)知偏官偏印(yin)偏財亦(yi)(yi)能得力(li)。知食神(shen)之(zhi)(zhi)能吐秀,而(er)不(bu)知傷官之(zhi)(zhi)亦(yi)(yi)可(ke)出奇,是則其偏執(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)見,未為(wei)(wei)(wei)圓徹(che)。且(qie)胎元(yuan)等論,施之(zhi)(zhi)今(jin)日(ri),亦(yi)(yi)多有(you)不(bu)驗。言命(ming)(ming)學者(zhe)但當得其大(da)意(yi),而(er)變通之(zhi)(zhi)可(ke)矣。若所(suo)(suo)(suo)引《珞(luo)琭(lu)子(zi)》與(yu)(yu)今(jin)《永樂大(da)典》中所(suo)(suo)(suo)輯完(wan)本,其文(wen)迥殊。則其時秘冊僅存,外間(jian)未由(you)窺見,遂(sui)誤(wu)信依托之(zhi)(zhi)本,固未足以(yi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)病也。
萬民英(1521辛巳年(nian)(nian)——1603癸卯(mao)年(nian)(nian)),字汝豪,號育(yu)吾(wu),其先祖為(wei)江夏人(ren)。明(ming)永樂(le)年(nian)(nian)間,祖父萬義由御史貶為(wei)戍大寧都司衛(wei),居(ju)易州城(cheng)內,明(ming)嘉靖二(er)十(shi)八年(nian)(nian)中(zhong)舉,二(er)十(shi)九年(nian)(nian)中(zhong)進士,先后任(ren)河南道監察御史、福建兵備(bei)參議等職。
當時,倭寇屢(lv)犯福建,萬民(min)英奉命守(shou)泉(quan)州,他恪盡職守(shou),身先士卒,驍(xiao)勇善(shan)戰,屢(lv)戰屢(lv)捷。
萬民英性情耿(geng)直(zhi),因(yin)直(zhi)言(yan)得罪權貴,由此遭陷害,借機扶母靈柩(jiu)回故里,從(cong)此遠(yuan)離仕途,隱居三(san)十(shi)多年(nian)。他建(jian)鄉學,收弟子,熱衷(zhong)慈善與教育,李時新(xin)等(deng)二十(shi)幾名弟子都有(you)(you)所建(jian)樹。每年(nian)都搭粥棚救濟四方百姓。編著(zhu)有(you)(you)《易經(jing)會解(jie)》、《三(san)命通會》、《星學大成》、《蘭臺妙(miao)選》、《陰符經(jing)》、《相字心(xin)經(jing)》刊行于(yu)世。另有(you)(you)《道德(de)經(jing)解(jie)》、《宗教易簡錄》、《言(yan)志(zhi)漫(man)稿》、《菊(ju)花譜》等(deng)著(zhu)作(zuo)收藏(zang)于(yu)家。卒于(yu)明萬歷癸(gui)卯(mao)年(nian),享年(nian)82歲,葬(zang)于(yu)西(xi)高村西(xi),狀元朱之蕃(荏平人(ren)(ren))撰碑(bei)(bei)文;探花趙鏘(qiang)(易縣人(ren)(ren))篆碑(bei)(bei)額(e);榜(bang)眼(yan)劉(liu)思中(清苑人(ren)(ren))書丹。易縣博物(wu)館存有(you)(you)其墓志(zhi)銘。
夫命豈易言(yan)哉(zai)(zai)。其旨(zhi)深。其義(yi)奧(ao)。其理(li)直(zhi)。上通夫干(gan)元無(wu)極之(zhi)微。是以圣人(ren)惟恐人(ren)之(zhi)鉤玄索隱(yin)而罕言(yan)之(zhi)。命豈易言(yan)哉(zai)(zai)。然夫子又曰。不知(zhi)命無(wu)以為君子者(zhe)何居(ju)。蓋富貴(gui)利達命也。困窮死喪(sang)亦(yi)命也。茍(gou)其不知(zhi)。一(yi)若世之(zhi)可欣可羨者(zhe)。竟(jing)可僥幸而得。孰肯居(ju)易以俟之(zhi)。
世之可驚可愕者
皆(jie)可(ke)規避而(er)免。孰肯(ken)順受其正耶。不(bu)(bu)幾宇宙之(zhi)大。林總之(zhi)繁(fan)。相(xiang)率為行險者流。而(er)綱常(chang)名教日用掌然(ran)之(zhi)道。不(bu)(bu)且絕滅于今古哉。吾知命(ming)雖圣人所罕言。而(er)為君(jun)子者。又不(bu)(bu)可(ke)不(bu)(bu)知也。予(yu)(yu)幼隨先君(jun)子宦游(you)兩浙。與(yu)二三博洽士(shi)。剖晰玄微(wei)。略(lve)知毛發。后(hou)予(yu)(yu)守郡齊安。聞津(jin)門(men)有三命(ming)通會一書(shu)最善。時宮保田公巡視長蘆。遂寓書(shu)購之(zhi)不(bu)(bu)可(ke)得。今予(yu)(yu)來司轉運。旁(pang)搜偏訪。知雕板尚藏滄洲李氏家。顧已殘失百十篇(pian)。惜哉。古錢(qian)掘得。輪廓槎牙。斷碣捫來。觚棱(leng)缺獻(xian)齒(chi)。今昔(xi)同(tong)嗟。
良有以夫
遂求其遺帙校正。付剞劂補全之(zhi)(zhi)。而為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)便敘曰。古來之(zhi)(zhi)為(wei)子臣弟友(you)者。往往有(you)事(shi)君而天(tian)澤之(zhi)(zhi)義不講。事(shi)親而明發(fa)之(zhi)(zhi)懷不生。以及昆弟朋友(you)之(zhi)(zhi)間。彼責此尤爾(er)虞我詐。求如棠棣之(zhi)(zhi)章。伐木(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)什(shen)者甚難。亦獨何歟。今而知(zhi)總由于不知(zhi)命之(zhi)(zhi)故(gu)。蓋天(tian)之(zhi)(zhi)隨人賦予。原自有(you)限量。而不容(rong)非分要求。滿腔(qiang)怨懟者。
今觀是書所載
悉以(yi)日時為主。附麗年月。孰者(zhe)富貴利達(da)造其極。孰者(zhe)困窮(qiong)(qiong)死喪(sang)終其身。千變萬(wan)態。不爽(shuang)秋毫。援往(wang)征來。了(le)如指掌。其于陰陽遞嬗五行生克之(zhi)(zhi)道(dao)。言(yan)之(zhi)(zhi)詳而(er)且(qie)密(mi)。茍(gou)世之(zhi)(zhi)學士大夫。深求(qiu)而(er)默體之(zhi)(zhi)。雖不能直窮(qiong)(qiong)夫干元無極之(zhi)(zhi)微(wei)。而(er)事(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)可欣(xin)可羨(xian)可驚(jing)可愕者(zhe)。一存乎吾命之(zhi)(zhi)固然。俱無庸絲(si)毫趨避(bi)于其際(ji)。吾知節性防淫懲(cheng)忿窒(zhi)欲之(zhi)(zhi)中自(zi)實(shi)踐。
夫日用綱常之道
居易以(yi)俟。順(shun)受(shou)其正(zheng)。以(yi)漸臻君子之域不(bu)難矣。又何(he)必以(yi)旨(zhi)深義(yi)奧(ao)而(er)諱言命哉(zai)。予言未(wei)竟。有戶外之士(shi)揖(yi)而(er)進曰。如子所言。是“三(san)命通會”一書。不(bu)僅為術士(shi)衣缽。直可以(yi)正(zheng)人心而(er)維風俗歟。予笑(xiao)而(er)不(bu)言。遂舉其說。以(yi)弁諸簡端(duan)。并以(yi)告世之觀(guan)是書者(zhe)。

三命通(tong)會(hui)十二(er)卷(juan)(juan)。不著撰人(ren)(ren)名氏(shi)。卷(juan)(juan)首但(dan)題育吾(wu)山人(ren)(ren)著。考明(ming)萬民(min)(min)(min)英(ying)。字(zi)育吾(wu)。大(da)寧都司(si)人(ren)(ren)。嘉靖庚戌進士。歷官河(he)南道(dao)御史。出(chu)為福建布政司(si)參(can)議。撰有“星學(xue)大(da)成(cheng)”。此書(shu)題育吾(wu)。當亦出(chu)民(min)(min)(min)英(ying)手。明(ming)史藝文志所載卷(juan)(juan)數。正與(yu)此合。惟誤民(min)(min)(min)英(ying)為民(min)(min)(min)育。又通(tong)會(hui)作會(hui)通(tong)耳。粵(yue)稽星命之學(xue)。原(yuan)出(chu)陰陽家(jia)。隋書(shu)經籍(ji)志。有雜元辰祿命。并溪祿命。著錄最早。惜書(shu)佚不可考。今所傳述者。惟唐李虛中命書(shu)。

夫河龍(long)負圖(tu)(tu)者。非龍(long)也。乃大(da)(da)龜也。其背(bei)上(shang)所有(you)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)紋。一(yi)(yi)長(chang)畫(hua)。二短(duan)畫(hua)。一(yi)(yi)白(bai)點(dian)(dian)(dian)近尾。九(jiu)(jiu)紫點(dian)(dian)(dian)近頸。四碧點(dian)(dian)(dian)在(zai)肩之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)左。二黑點(dian)(dian)(dian)在(zai)肩之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)右。六白(bai)點(dian)(dian)(dian)近足(zu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)右。八(ba)白(bai)點(dian)(dian)(dian)近足(zu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)左。三綠點(dian)(dian)(dian)在(zai)勰之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)左。七赤點(dian)(dian)(dian)在(zai)勰之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)右。五黃點(dian)(dian)(dian)在(zai)背(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中。凡(fan)九(jiu)(jiu)所而(er)七色焉。羲皇(huang)以(yi)九(jiu)(jiu)位而(er)定方。以(yi)一(yi)(yi)長(chang)畫(hua)二短(duan)畫(hua)而(er)生(sheng)(sheng)爻。以(yi)三才而(er)設(she)位。易(yi)道(dao)由是(shi)(shi)而(er)生(sheng)(sheng)矣。 余按易(yi)言。河出(chu)圖(tu)(tu)。洛(luo)(luo)出(chu)書(shu)(shu)。圣(sheng)人則之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。未(wei)嘗(chang)明言圖(tu)(tu)書(shu)(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)。如漢儒(ru)所指。觀伏羲定方畫(hua)卦。大(da)(da)禹第疇。首五行。則術家(jia)(jia)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)說是(shi)(shi)也。況洛(luo)(luo)書(shu)(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)。術家(jia)(jia)以(yi)為(wei)大(da)(da)撓定之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。與吾(wu)儒(ru)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)說迥別。宋程朱(zhu)以(yi)一(yi)(yi)六居北。為(wei)河圖(tu)(tu)。戴九(jiu)(jiu)履一(yi)(yi)。為(wei)洛(luo)(luo)書(shu)(shu)。亦因漢儒(ru)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)舊云爾。浚(jun)川王子。以(yi)伏羲作(zuo)易(yi)。造(zao)端于(yu)陰陽二畫(hua)而(er)已。故曰。易(yi)有(you)太極。是(shi)(shi)生(sheng)(sheng)兩儀。兩儀生(sheng)(sheng)四象。四象生(sheng)(sheng)八(ba)卦。先后自然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)序。有(you)非人力(li)強為(wei)排比。今(jin)曰因河圖(tu)(tu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)以(yi)作(zuo)易(yi)。是(shi)(shi)不從太極以(yi)為(wei)易(yi)。豈(qi)不于(yu)仲尼易(yi)有(you)太極之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)論(lun)戾(li)乎(hu)。易(yi)系河出(chu)圖(tu)(tu)。洛(luo)(luo)出(chu)書(shu)(shu)。圣(sheng)人則之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。意以(yi)八(ba)卦之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)畫(hua)。出(chu)于(yu)天地所示自然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)文。
其(qi)實圣人(ren)神道(dao)設教之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)意(yi)也(ye)。漢(han)儒不達(da)乎(hu)此。乃(nai)(nai)以(yi)(yi)(yi)伏羲畫(hua)卦為(wei)(wei)本(ben)于(yu)(yu)河圖(tu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)文(wen)(wen)。大(da)禹衍疇(chou)(chou)。為(wei)(wei)則(ze)于(yu)(yu)洛(luo)書(shu)(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)文(wen)(wen)。則(ze)誣矣(yi)。易(yi)曰(yue)。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)一(yi)地(di)二。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)三地(di)四。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)五(wu)(wu)(wu)地(di)六。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)七地(di)八(ba)。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)九(jiu)地(di)十(shi)。是以(yi)(yi)(yi)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)陽也(ye)。故(gu)數(shu)(shu)一(yi)三五(wu)(wu)(wu)七九(jiu)。地(di)陰也(ye)。故(gu)數(shu)(shu)二四六八(ba)十(shi)。此專(zhuan)論揲蓍之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)義。故(gu)先言(yan)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)地(di)奇耦(ou)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)。五(wu)(wu)(wu)十(shi)有五(wu)(wu)(wu)。圣人(ren)立(li)揲。用大(da)衍之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)五(wu)(wu)(wu)十(shi)。以(yi)(yi)(yi)見法象(xiang)于(yu)(yu)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)地(di)奇耦(ou)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)。與下(xia)(xia)(xia)象(xiang)四時(shi)象(xiang)二才(cai)等象(xiang)同(tong)一(yi)義也(ye)。于(yu)(yu)河圖(tu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)。何(he)相(xiang)涉乎(hu)。況(kuang)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)一(yi)地(di)二之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)辭。為(wei)(wei)作(zuo)易(yi)后立(li)揲而(er)(er)(er)言(yan)。非(fei)作(zuo)易(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)始事(shi)。而(er)(er)(er)何(he)以(yi)(yi)(yi)取圖(tu)為(wei)(wei)哉(zai)。又疑(yi)圣人(ren)則(ze)圖(tu)書(shu)(shu)皆言(yan)畫(hua)卦。非(fei)禹則(ze)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)明疇(chou)(chou)也(ye)。觀洪范九(jiu)疇(chou)(chou)。乃(nai)(nai)治天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)下(xia)(xia)(xia)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)大(da)經大(da)法。如(ru)周官九(jiu)式九(jiu)兩之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)義。非(fei)數(shu)(shu)也(ye)。箕(ji)子首(shou)言(yan)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)錫(xi)。不過水土平而(er)(er)(er)五(wu)(wu)(wu)行之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)政(zheng)可(ke)修。五(wu)(wu)(wu)行之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)政(zheng)修。而(er)(er)(er)治天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)下(xia)(xia)(xia)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)庶政(zheng)可(ke)舉。故(gu)于(yu)(yu)地(di)平天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)成之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)。天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)乃(nai)(nai)錫(xi)禹大(da)法。曰(yue)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)者(zhe)。是天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)予以(yi)(yi)(yi)治天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)下(xia)(xia)(xia)。敘彝倫。此九(jiu)者(zhe)不可(ke)缺一(yi)云爾。觀疇(chou)(chou)次(ci)(ci)第。首(shou)五(wu)(wu)(wu)行。次(ci)(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)事(shi)。次(ci)(ci)八(ba)政(zheng)。本(ben)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)而(er)(er)(er)推之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)于(yu)(yu)人(ren)。次(ci)(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)紀。次(ci)(ci)三德。次(ci)(ci)稽疑(yi)。以(yi)(yi)(yi)人(ren)而(er)(er)(er)合(he)乎(hu)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)。次(ci)(ci)庶征。次(ci)(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)福六極(ji)。則(ze)人(ren)感(gan)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)應而(er)(er)(er)皇極(ji)乃(nai)(nai)其(qi)主也(ye)。故(gu)居(ju)中(zhong)焉。其(qi)先后次(ci)(ci)第。輕(qing)重緩急。自當如(ru)此。想大(da)禹筆(bi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)書(shu)(shu)以(yi)(yi)(yi)傳(chuan)后世(shi)。而(er)(er)(er)箕(ji)子獨傳(chuan)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)也(ye)。畫(hua)卦稽疑(yi)。乃(nai)(nai)疇(chou)(chou)中(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)一(yi)事(shi)。惡可(ke)以(yi)(yi)(yi)洛(luo)書(shu)(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)當之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)哉(zai)。海沂子曰(yue)。圣人(ren)觀河圖(tu)。悟乾坤之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)象(xiang)而(er)(er)(er)生卦。觀洛(luo)書(shu)(shu)。悟天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)地(di)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)數(shu)(shu)而(er)(er)(er)衍蓍。豈(qi)知言(yan)哉(zai)。
