《觀世音菩薩普門品》

《觀世音菩薩普門品》,原是《妙法蓮華經》里的一經品,由于觀世音信仰傳入中國日益盛行,所以經文從漢文譯本內抽出來,成為便于受持讀誦的單行經品本。經文的原本,在漢文譯本如晉竺法護的《正法華經》、姚秦鳩摩羅什法師的《妙法蓮華經》等中,此品全都是長行品。直到隋代阇那崛多和笈多補譯的《添品法華經》,此品才有了重頌,這和比較晚出的梵文本和藏文譯本《觀世音菩薩普門品》相一致(梵、藏本比隋譯還要多出七個頌)。

觀(guan)世(shi)音信仰很早就流行于(yu)西域,而且歷(li)久不衰。因此(ci),近人還(huan)在(zai)中(zhong)國新疆(jiang)吐魯(lu)番(fan)發現了回鶻文(wen)(wen)和古(gu)代突厥文(wen)(wen)的《普門品》譯本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)。其回鶻文(wen)(wen)本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)由拉德洛夫校(xiao)刊(kan)并翻(fan)成德文(wen)(wen),作為俄國的《佛(fo)教文(wen)(wen)庫》第十四種,1911年在(zai)圣彼(bi)得堡刊(kan)行。此(ci)外(wai),有意大利文(wen)(wen)重(zhong)譯本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)(依漢譯本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)重(zhong)譯)。還(huan)有日(ri)本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)渡邊照宏(hong)、長澤實(shi)導的兩種日(ri)文(wen)(wen)譯本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)(1935、1940、依梵本(ben)(ben)(ben)(ben)翻(fan)譯)。

妙法蓮華經(jing)觀世音(yin)菩(pu)薩普門品終

佛(fo)說(shuo)(shuo)(shuo)于(yu)福(fu)(fu)慧(hui)并(bing)重,而(er)(er)講(jiang)(jiang)經(jing)(jing)實為(wei)修慧(hui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)要鍵,慧(hui)具而(er)(er)福(fu)(fu)亦應(ying)焉(yan)。吾(wu)通(tong)講(jiang)(jiang)經(jing)(jing)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)舉,見于(yu)古德(de)撰述者,如(ru)元初(chu)淮海和尚語錄(lu),明末冷山語錄(lu),上下四(si)(si)百(bai)年,不(bu)(bu)過(guo)數會而(er)(er)已。嗣(si)是法(fa)(fa)(fa)音(yin)闃然,更不(bu)(bu)聞義解之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)盛。民國肇(zhao)造,始(shi)漸(jian)興行。一(yi)為(wei)劉靈華居士之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)在(zai)教(jiao)育會講(jiang)(jiang)法(fa)(fa)(fa)華經(jing)(jing),二為(wei)太虛法(fa)(fa)(fa)師之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)在(zai)觀音(yin)巖講(jiang)(jiang)普門品(pin),三為(wei)仁山法(fa)(fa)(fa)師之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)在(zai)法(fa)(fa)(fa)輪寺(si)講(jiang)(jiang)阿彌陀經(jing)(jing),四(si)(si)為(wei)寶(bao)靜(jing)法(fa)(fa)(fa)師之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)在(zai)唐(tang)閘居士林講(jiang)(jiang)普門品(pin)。此四(si)(si)講(jiang)(jiang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong),前三講(jiang)(jiang),尚屬(shu)起信(xin)時(shi)期,聽(ting)者寥寥可(ke)數;后一(yi)講(jiang)(jiang),則矞皇(huang)殊勝,凡近(jin)唐(tang)閘一(yi)二十(shi)里(li)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)男女,咸懷餅餌(er),冒風(feng)雪,徒(tu)步(bu)赴(fu)會,每日常近(jin)萬人(ren),沛澤四(si)(si)周(zhou),不(bu)(bu)煩(fan)呵(he)責。講(jiang)(jiang)畢念(nian)佛(fo),上徹(che)云霄(xiao)。其(qi)(qi)真實哀祈(qi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情(qing),一(yi)若有大劫(jie)將臨,以(yi)(yi)得(de)預弭者。嗚呼,異哉!夫觀世音(yin)菩薩(sa)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慈心(xin)悲愿,普門品(pin)所(suo)說(shuo)(shuo)(shuo)綦(qi)詳(xiang),寶(bao)靜(jing)法(fa)(fa)(fa)師以(yi)(yi)其(qi)(qi)妙智深解,對境演繹,達(da)于(yu)聽(ting)眾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)耳,入于(yu)聽(ting)眾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin),一(yi)顆凈(jing)種,而(er)(er)發芽,而(er)(er)舒葉,而(er)(er)放花結實,使家庭成(cheng)為(wei)佛(fo)化(hua)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)家庭,社會成(cheng)為(wei)佛(fo)化(hua)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)社會,各循職分(fen),不(bu)(bu)越軌(gui)涂(tu),慈孝友(you)恭,純潔勇進,則于(yu)人(ren)生幸(xing)福(fu)(fu),國家治理,其(qi)(qi)裨益寧有限(xian)量。今法(fa)(fa)(fa)師之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)法(fa)(fa)(fa)音(yin),雖與時(shi)間遷(qian)流而(er)(er)去,而(er)(er)師聲教(jiao)所(suo)傳之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)法(fa)(fa)(fa)言,則由崔澍(shu)萍居士等,于(yu)聽(ting)講(jiang)(jiang)時(shi),逐(zhu)一(yi)紀錄(lu),呈請(qing)法(fa)(fa)(fa)師,詳(xiang)為(wei)斧(fu)正(zheng),遂(sui)(sui)成(cheng)全冊而(er)(er)得(de)付印(yin)流通(tong)。未(wei)聆圓(yuan)音(yin)者,得(de)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)若同參盛會,已與講(jiang)(jiang)席者,得(de)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)亦重覿靈山,是為(wei)施(shi)(shi)資(zi)刊印(yin)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)深意也(ye)。唐(tang)閘居士林者,陳豫堂居士,鳩集善信(xin),隨愿創建,苦身(shen)鬻力(li),百(bai)折(zhe)不(bu)(bu)辭。林成(cheng),請(qing)法(fa)(fa)(fa)師講(jiang)(jiang)經(jing)(jing)說(shuo)(shuo)(shuo)戒,斥貲巨萬,初(chu)固無(wu)(wu)所(suo)儲備(bei),竊曾(ceng)憂其(qi)(qi)資(zi)竭。乃誠心(xin)四(si)(si)應(ying),檀(tan)越云施(shi)(shi),香(xiang)(xiang)廚(chu)無(wu)(wu)虞,卒告圓(yuan)滿。征(zheng)此一(yi)念(nian),其(qi)(qi)遂(sui)(sui)可(ke)為(wei)消(xiao)除(chu)三災八(ba)難之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)券也(ye)歟(yu)!謹(jin)著于(yu)此,庶焚(fen)香(xiang)(xiang)展卷。先油然生歡喜之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin),以(yi)(yi)期福(fu)(fu)慧(hui)雙修焉(yan)。

【妙法蓮華經】

妙(miao)法(fa)蓮(lian)華(hua)(hua)經(jing),是(shi)一經(jing)的(de)總題(ti)。觀(guan)世音(yin)(yin)菩薩(sa)普(pu)(pu)(pu)門(men)(men)(men)品(pin)(pin),是(shi)一品(pin)(pin)之(zhi)(zhi)別目(mu)。姚秦三藏(zang)法(fa)師鳩摩(mo)羅什譯(yi),是(shi)譯(yi)題(ti)。先講(jiang)(jiang)總題(ti),次釋別目(mu),再講(jiang)(jiang)譯(yi)題(ti)。現(xian)所(suo)講(jiang)(jiang)經(jing),是(shi)微妙(miao)之(zhi)(zhi)法(fa),難(nan)遭難(nan)遇,不(bu)(bu)輕(qing)容易聽(ting)到的(de)。諸位很(hen)踴(yong)(yong)躍的(de)來(lai)聽(ting),這是(shi)很(hen)好的(de),但(dan)聽(ting)時,無論懂(dong)(dong)與(yu)(yu)不(bu)(bu)懂(dong)(dong),都應(ying)當恭(gong)敬寂靜,誠意的(de)聽(ting)。懂(dong)(dong)固然得(de)到妙(miao)法(fa)的(de)益處,即是(shi)不(bu)(bu)懂(dong)(dong),亦只要具至誠恭(gong)敬心,亦可(ke)得(de)莫大(da)之(zhi)(zhi)利益。因(yin)(yin)聽(ting)經(jing)功德不(bu)(bu)可(ke)量故,所(suo)以大(da)家要發慈(ci)(ci)悲(bei)(bei)心、殷(yin)重心,于寂靜中(zhong)聽(ting)經(jing),必能(neng)領受其中(zhong)妙(miao)道(dao),而(er)津津有(you)味。否則,就領會不(bu)(bu)到了(le)!普(pu)(pu)(pu)門(men)(men)(men)品(pin)(pin),雖是(shi)法(fa)華(hua)(hua)經(jing)中(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)一品(pin)(pin),然可(ke)代表(biao)全經(jing),因(yin)(yin)皆是(shi)不(bu)(bu)可(ke)思(si)議的(de)妙(miao)法(fa)故。法(fa)華(hua)(hua)經(jing)共有(you)七卷(juan)二十八(ba)品(pin)(pin),觀(guan)世音(yin)(yin)普(pu)(pu)(pu)門(men)(men)(men)品(pin)(pin),是(shi)第二十五品(pin)(pin),既非(fei)全經(jing),何以此(ci)品(pin)(pin)單行(xing)呢?因(yin)(yin)有(you)非(fei)常靈感(gan)故。當初晉末北涼沮(ju)渠蒙(meng)(meng)遜(xun)病(bing)(bing)篤,醫藥罔效(xiao),曇無讖尊(zun)者謂此(ci)是(shi)業障(zhang)病(bing)(bing),必念法(fa)華(hua)(hua)經(jing)的(de)普(pu)(pu)(pu)門(men)(men)(men)品(pin)(pin),即可(ke)痊愈。蒙(meng)(meng)遜(xun)依之(zhi)(zhi)持誦,未數日,其病(bing)(bing)果瘥。因(yin)(yin)此(ci)單行(xing)流通,而(er)各處講(jiang)(jiang)解甚多。因(yin)(yin)觀(guan)世音(yin)(yin)菩薩(sa)是(shi)大(da)慈(ci)(ci)大(da)悲(bei)(bei),救(jiu)苦救(jiu)難(nan),廣大(da)靈感(gan),與(yu)(yu)我娑婆(po)世界(jie)的(de)眾生,緣深緣熟故,無人(ren)(ren)不(bu)(bu)知曉,無人(ren)(ren)不(bu)(bu)恭(gong)敬的(de)。并且有(you)許多人(ren)(ren),感(gan)到廣大(da)之(zhi)(zhi)靈驗,所(suo)以今(jin)天聽(ting)眾異常踴(yong)(yong)躍,連袂而(er)來(lai)。又本林(lin)因(yin)(yin)二月十九觀(guan)音(yin)(yin)誕期將屆,請講(jiang)(jiang)普(pu)(pu)(pu)門(men)(men)(men)品(pin)(pin),誠為應(ying)時應(ying)機(ji)之(zhi)(zhi)教,有(you)體有(you)用有(you)事有(you)理之(zhi)(zhi)法(fa)。

既欲講(jiang)經(jing),必先(xian)釋(shi)題(ti)。茲先(xian)講(jiang)"妙法蓮華經(jing)"五字,妙法蓮華經(jing),以(yi)法喻立(li)題(ti)。佛經(jing)有七種立(li)題(ti),所(suo)謂單三(san)復(fu)三(san)具足(zu)一(yi)。

單三者:

(一)單(dan)人,如佛說阿彌陀經(jing)。

(二)單法,如涅(nie)盤(pan)經、般若經。

(三)單喻,如梵網經、瓔珞經。

復三者:

(一)人法,如(ru)地藏菩薩本愿(yuan)經(jing)。

(二)人喻,如如來師子吼經。

(三)法喻(yu),如妙(miao)法蓮(lian)華經。

具(ju)足(zu)一者(zhe):如大方(fang)廣佛(fo)華嚴經(jing)(jing)。本經(jing)(jing)屬法(fa)(fa)(fa)喻立題(ti),妙法(fa)(fa)(fa)是法(fa)(fa)(fa),蓮華是喻。因妙法(fa)(fa)(fa)難解,借蓮華為(wei)喻。妙法(fa)(fa)(fa)者(zhe),其法(fa)(fa)(fa)妙不(bu)可言(yan)。法(fa)(fa)(fa)是什么呢(ni)?所謂(wei)山(shan)河大地,世(shi)界國土,依正果(guo)報(bao),世(shi)出世(shi)法(fa)(fa)(fa),色法(fa)(fa)(fa)心(xin)法(fa)(fa)(fa),雖萬(wan)象森(sen)嚴,然要言(yan)之(zhi)(zhi),不(bu)外佛(fo)法(fa)(fa)(fa)、心(xin)法(fa)(fa)(fa)、眾生法(fa)(fa)(fa)三種(zhong)(zhong)。這三種(zhong)(zhong)法(fa)(fa)(fa),原無差(cha)(cha)別(bie),故稱妙法(fa)(fa)(fa)。何以無差(cha)(cha)別(bie)呢(ni)?請先(xian)明我人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)在(zai)哪(na)里。常人(ren)不(bu)明,恒(heng)將胸腔內的心(xin),指(zhi)為(wei)吾人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin),其實這是五臟之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin),非真(zhen)(zhen)心(xin)呀!因這種(zhong)(zhong)心(xin),是肉(rou)團心(xin),又是集起心(xin)、分(fen)別(bie)心(xin)、妄(wang)想心(xin)。一旦(dan)死后腐化,就不(bu)能思(si)量分(fen)別(bie),是緣慮(lv)心(xin)故,不(bu)是我人(ren)的真(zhen)(zhen)心(xin)。

須知我(wo)人的(de)真(zhen)心(xin)(xin)(xin),是(shi)(shi)遍虛(xu)空,包(bao)法(fa)(fa)界。楞嚴所(suo)(suo)謂(wei)十(shi)(shi)方虛(xu)空,在我(wo)心(xin)(xin)(xin)內,如同片云點太清。試看一(yi)(yi)切萬(wan)法(fa)(fa),皆從心(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng),所(suo)(suo)謂(wei)心(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng)則(ze)(ze)種(zhong)種(zhong)法(fa)(fa)生(sheng),心(xin)(xin)(xin)滅則(ze)(ze)種(zhong)種(zhong)法(fa)(fa)滅,上至四圣,下(xia)至天(tian)堂(tang)地獄,皆從心(xin)(xin)(xin)所(suo)(suo)有,可知心(xin)(xin)(xin)外無法(fa)(fa),心(xin)(xin)(xin)即(ji)是(shi)(shi)萬(wan)法(fa)(fa)之本(ben)體。如明白(bai)了這個道(dao)(dao)理,則(ze)(ze)心(xin)(xin)(xin)悟妙理虛(xu)空小,故心(xin)(xin)(xin)法(fa)(fa)甚妙,叫做妙法(fa)(fa)。又須知心(xin)(xin)(xin)中惡念起,即(ji)僅一(yi)(yi)念生(sheng)滅,已是(shi)(shi)變成地獄、餓鬼、畜生(sheng)三惡道(dao)(dao)之因(yin)。一(yi)(yi)善念生(sheng),便生(sheng)天(tian)人阿(a)修羅三善道(dao)(dao)。念空,便成二(er)乘。念慈悲平等,即(ji)成佛菩(pu)薩。所(suo)(suo)謂(wei)十(shi)(shi)方世界,都從心(xin)(xin)(xin)有。以心(xin)(xin)(xin)具(ju)十(shi)(shi)法(fa)(fa)界故,事理不(bu)(bu)二(er)故,理具(ju)事造皆在一(yi)(yi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)故,所(suo)(suo)以佛界眾生(sheng)界,均在心(xin)(xin)(xin)內,包(bao)羅萬(wan)象,有不(bu)(bu)可思(si)議之妙。若用分別心(xin)(xin)(xin)即(ji)非,所(suo)(suo)謂(wei)舉(ju)心(xin)(xin)(xin)即(ji)錯,動念即(ji)乖,思(si)不(bu)(bu)到,尋不(bu)(bu)著,如能(neng)識(shi)得此心(xin)(xin)(xin),大地無寸土。

如(ru)今天(tian)(tian)這樣盛大(da)的(de)講經法會(hui),其始也是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)因為林內(nei)主持人(ren)(ren)的(de)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)一動,就有了這么大(da)的(de)法會(hui)。又如(ru)飛機(ji)輪船火(huo)車,一切萬物(wu),何嘗不皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)由心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)而有呢?這便可證明心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)力(li)不可思(si)議,心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)包太虛,量周沙界。故(gu)釋(shi)迦彌陀,皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)我心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)造(zao);三(san)乘(cheng)圣人(ren)(ren),亦(yi)我心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)造(zao);六道(dao)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),亦(yi)莫(mo)不皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)然(ran)。所以眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)十方(fang)(fang)諸佛(fo)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)內(nei)的(de)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng);十方(fang)(fang)諸佛(fo),是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)內(nei)的(de)諸佛(fo)。觀音,是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)內(nei)的(de)觀音;眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)觀音心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)內(nei)的(de)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)。所謂(wei)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)佛(fo),是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)作(zuo)佛(fo);是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)菩薩,是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)作(zuo)菩薩。只(zhi)要有修(xiu)有作(zuo),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)可成佛(fo)成菩薩了,故(gu)曰心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)妙。若迷昧本心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),便為天(tian)(tian)、人(ren)(ren)、阿修(xiu)羅、地(di)(di)獄(yu)、鬼(gui)、畜生(sheng)(sheng)六道(dao)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)。所謂(wei)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)具(ju)地(di)(di)獄(yu),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)造(zao)地(di)(di)獄(yu),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)具(ju)天(tian)(tian)堂(tang),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)造(zao)天(tian)(tian)堂(tang),鬼(gui)畜等(deng)亦(yi)莫(mo)不皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)然(ran)。天(tian)(tian)堂(tang)地(di)(di)獄(yu),既皆(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)由自心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)造(zao)作(zuo),故(gu)曰心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)法妙。眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)身(shen)口(kou)意(yi)(yi)三(san)業,無非煩(fan)惱(nao)(nao)作(zuo)業,以致受生(sheng)(sheng)死輪回之(zhi)果(guo)報。然(ran)煩(fan)惱(nao)(nao)本空,即是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)了因佛(fo)性。煩(fan)惱(nao)(nao)原是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)智(zhi)慧,因錯用(yong)其心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),將(jiang)智(zhi)慧翻作(zuo)煩(fan)惱(nao)(nao)。智(zhi)慧從何而來?煩(fan)惱(nao)(nao)之(zhi)體(ti),即是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)智(zhi)慧,不須(xu)外求。身(shen)口(kou)意(yi)(yi)可造(zao)十惡,亦(yi)可做(zuo)十善。

楞(leng)嚴所(suo)謂生(sheng)死輪回,安樂妙常,唯此六根,更無(wu)(wu)(wu)他物(wu)。吾人本性,本是(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)生(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)滅(mie)(mie),但(dan)以虛妄因緣和合而(er)(er)生(sheng),因緣別(bie)(bie)離(li)虛妄而(er)(er)滅(mie)(mie)。是(shi)(shi)知從緣而(er)(er)生(sheng),即(ji)是(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)生(sheng);從緣而(er)(er)滅(mie)(mie),即(ji)是(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)滅(mie)(mie)。故(gu)作業原(yuan)是(shi)(shi)解脫,生(sheng)滅(mie)(mie)即(ji)是(shi)(shi)法(fa)身。故(gu)釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo),最(zui)初成(cheng)道時,即(ji)云:"奇哉(zai)(zai),奇哉(zai)(zai)!一切眾(zhong)生(sheng),皆有如來智慧德相(xiang),但(dan)由妄想執著而(er)(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)證得。"是(shi)(shi)知眾(zhong)生(sheng)心(xin)(xin)中具佛(fo)(fo)三德,故(gu)曰(yue)眾(zhong)生(sheng)法(fa)妙。心(xin)(xin)法(fa)眾(zhong)生(sheng)法(fa)既妙,則五住究(jiu)竟(jing)、二死永亡之佛(fo)(fo)更妙。眾(zhong)生(sheng)是(shi)(shi)佛(fo)(fo)心(xin)(xin)中的(de)眾(zhong)生(sheng),山河大地,森羅萬象,無(wu)(wu)(wu)一不(bu)(bu)(bu)是(shi)(shi)佛(fo)(fo)心(xin)(xin)中的(de)物(wu),無(wu)(wu)(wu)有差(cha)(cha)別(bie)(bie),故(gu)曰(yue)佛(fo)(fo)法(fa)妙。心(xin)(xin)佛(fo)(fo)及眾(zhong)生(sheng),是(shi)(shi)三無(wu)(wu)(wu)差(cha)(cha)別(bie)(bie)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)差(cha)(cha)別(bie)(bie)法(fa)是(shi)(shi)妙法(fa);此妙法(fa)人人本具,各各不(bu)(bu)(bu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)。

本經普門即(ji)是無(wu)差別之(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)。是法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)非思(si)量分(fen)別所能解,起分(fen)別妄想便非是妙(miao)(miao),即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)成粗(cu)。如念佛(fo)(fo)念觀(guan)音(yin),念得(de)一(yi)心不(bu)亂,無(wu)思(si)量分(fen)別,即(ji)是妙(miao)(miao)。能超(chao)(chao)凡(fan)見,不(bu)著有(you);能脫(tuo)圣解,不(bu)著空。超(chao)(chao)情(qing)離見即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),若是著有(you)著空,落(luo)于(yu)凡(fan)情(qing)妄緣,即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)成粗(cu)。若無(wu)所住(zhu)而生其心,離過絕(jue)非是妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)。有(you)所住(zhu)而生其心,即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)是粗(cu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)。一(yi)切眾生,皆有(you)佛(fo)(fo)性(xing),佛(fo)(fo)性(xing)即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),故人(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)皆有(you)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),人(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)皆可成佛(fo)(fo)。十方三(san)世諸佛(fo)(fo)證此無(wu)差別之(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)而成佛(fo)(fo);眾生迷昧,錯用(yong)此無(wu)差別之(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),而妄起分(fen)別思(si)量,即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)為(wei)粗(cu),成苦(ku)惱眾生。

因(yin)惑(huo)作業,由業感生死(si)。如凡夫(fu)的心,一(yi)切著(zhu)(zhu)有,計人(ren)我相,因(yin)致妙(miao)而(er)不(bu)(bu)妙(miao)。羅(luo)(luo)漢(han)雖了生死(si),但著(zhu)(zhu)于空,抱(bao)消極(ji)而(er)不(bu)(bu)度生,雖證(zheng)羅(luo)(luo)漢(han),還是(shi)粗而(er)不(bu)(bu)妙(miao)。權乘菩(pu)薩,著(zhu)(zhu)二(er)邊(bian),或但中(zhong),仍非究(jiu)竟,還是(shi)粗隔(ge)于妙(miao)。惟(wei)佛不(bu)(bu)著(zhu)(zhu)空有二(er)邊(bian)但中(zhong),離過絕非,超情離見,證(zheng)妙(miao)法而(er)無(wu)遺,是(shi)為(wei)真妙(miao)。

今以喻明(ming)之:眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)具(ju)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)應,如在礦(kuang)之金。諸佛(fo)證(zheng)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)而(er)相(xiang)應,如出(chu)(chu)礦(kuang)之金。金雖有(you)在礦(kuang)出(chu)(chu)礦(kuang)之別,然其體本(ben)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)二(er)。所(suo)以云(yun):"但盡妄(wang)(wang)緣,即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)如如佛(fo)。一(yi)(yi)念(nian)(nian)回光,便(bian)(bian)同本(ben)得(de)。"只要(yao)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)把凡情放(fang)下,別無(wu)圣(sheng)解(jie),在佛(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)增(zeng),在凡不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)減,在生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)垢,在佛(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)凈(jing)(jing),在佛(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)生(sheng)(sheng),在生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)滅,一(yi)(yi)念(nian)(nian)返照,當體便(bian)(bian)是。但現前妄(wang)(wang)想執(zhi)著,而(er)未證(zheng)得(de)。僅具(ju)本(ben)有(you)之妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)佛(fo)性(xing)(xing)(xing),故(gu)名(ming)(ming)(ming)理即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo)。各位來此(ci)(ci)聽(ting)經(jing),能(neng)(neng)明(ming)白心即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo),圓(yuan)具(ju)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa),名(ming)(ming)(ming)名(ming)(ming)(ming)字(zi)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo)。然雖知具(ju)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa),若不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)真(zhen)修,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)成(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo),猶金不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)鍛煉,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)成(cheng)(cheng)純粹(cui)之黃金。我們今天能(neng)(neng)萬緣放(fang)下,一(yi)(yi)念(nian)(nian)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)掛,老(lao)實念(nian)(nian)佛(fo)聽(ting)經(jing),清爽(shuang)歷明(ming),能(neng)(neng)所(suo)雙泯,如是一(yi)(yi)心用功修行,雖未見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)到(dao)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa),而(er)能(neng)(neng)降伏(fu)煩惱,名(ming)(ming)(ming)觀行即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo)。倘念(nian)(nian)佛(fo)念(nian)(nian)觀音(yin),都攝六(liu)(liu)根(gen)(gen),凈(jing)(jing)念(nian)(nian)相(xiang)繼,內忘六(liu)(liu)根(gen)(gen),外忘六(liu)(liu)塵(chen),內忘身(shen)心,外忘世界,迥脫(tuo)根(gen)(gen)塵(chen),靈光獨耀,此(ci)(ci)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)自(zi)性(xing)(xing)(xing)觀音(yin)相(xiang)似(si)現出(chu)(chu),此(ci)(ci)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)所(suo)謂妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)。到(dao)那時(shi)視而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian),聽(ting)而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)聞,食而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知其味,無(wu)人相(xiang)、無(wu)我相(xiang),能(neng)(neng)所(suo)雙忘,用功到(dao)此(ci)(ci)地(di)步(bu),六(liu)(liu)根(gen)(gen)清凈(jing)(jing),見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)思脫(tuo)落,名(ming)(ming)(ming)相(xiang)似(si)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo)。到(dao)破根(gen)(gen)本(ben)無(wu)明(ming),親證(zheng)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa),禪(chan)名(ming)(ming)(ming)親見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)本(ben)來面(mian)(mian)目,天臺(tai)名(ming)(ming)(ming)圓(yuan)證(zheng)三諦,凈(jing)(jing)土名(ming)(ming)(ming)理一(yi)(yi)心不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)亂,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)動自(zi)性(xing)(xing)(xing),轉識成(cheng)(cheng)智(zhi),智(zhi)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)。眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)轉智(zhi)成(cheng)(cheng)識,妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao);佛(fo)轉識成(cheng)(cheng)智(zhi),親見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)本(ben)來面(mian)(mian)目,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)而(er)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)。親見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)自(zi)性(xing)(xing)(xing)觀音(yin),見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)到(dao)親生(sheng)(sheng)爺娘(niang),即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)證(zheng)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)。到(dao)此(ci)(ci)地(di)步(bu),能(neng)(neng)分身(shen)百界成(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo),名(ming)(ming)(ming)分證(zheng)即(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)佛(fo)。雖確證(zheng)到(dao)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)(fa)佛(fo)性(xing)(xing)(xing),但未究(jiu)竟(jing),必須(xu)到(dao)五(wu)住究(jiu)竟(jing),二(er)死永(yong)亡,見(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)思塵(chen)沙無(wu)明(ming)煩惱皆究(jiu)竟(jing)清凈(jing)(jing),分段變易生(sheng)(sheng)死皆究(jiu)竟(jing)了(le)脫(tuo),業盡情空,而(er)得(de)真(zhen)解(jie)脫(tuo)。

如(ru)釋(shi)迦(jia)究竟徹(che)證(zheng)(zheng)此(ci)(ci)(ci)妙(miao)法,名(ming)究竟即(ji)佛。此(ci)(ci)(ci)以妙(miao)法顯(xian)六即(ji)佛。吾人對于一(yi)切(qie)事物,都思量(liang)分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie)。思量(liang)是(shi)七識(shi)(shi)(shi)作用(yong)(yong),分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie)是(shi)六識(shi)(shi)(shi)作用(yong)(yong)。一(yi)起(qi)思量(liang)分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie),便落意識(shi)(shi)(shi)窩里,隱(yin)覆心性妙(miao)寶(bao),此(ci)(ci)(ci)即(ji)生(sheng)死根本。如(ru)能不(bu)(bu)起(qi)恒審(shen)思量(liang),不(bu)(bu)起(qi)隨念計度(du)分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie),則(ze)無(wu)所(suo)住,不(bu)(bu)住有分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie),不(bu)(bu)住空計度(du),二邊(bian)不(bu)(bu)住,中道(dao)不(bu)(bu)安(an),即(ji)顯(xian)妙(miao)法。到此(ci)(ci)(ci)無(wu)住生(sheng)心,分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie)亦非意識(shi)(shi)(shi)矣!即(ji)以寢食言,雖極(ji)微極(ji)易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)之(zhi)事,亦無(wu)不(bu)(bu)是(shi)妙(miao)法。所(suo)謂:頭(tou)(tou)頭(tou)(tou)是(shi)道(dao),左右逢源。昔(xi)龐(pang)(pang)居士家財富有,為辦道(dao)故,將(jiang)財寶(bao)盡丟漢(han)陽江中,愿甘貧(pin)苦,使女編竹(zhu),使子耕田(tian)以為生(sheng)。一(yi)日,互相談道(dao),龐(pang)(pang)居士云:"用(yong)(yong)功不(bu)(bu)易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi),證(zheng)(zheng)妙(miao)法難(nan)!難(nan)!難(nan)!難(nan)!十斛芝麻樹上攤。"因貪(tan)吃(chi)好(hao)穿(chuan),恩愛(ai)習(xi)氣,分(fen)(fen)別(bie)(bie)(bie)(bie)妄(wang)念,無(wu)始以來,已成習(xi)慣。雖明知都是(shi)空,然事實(shi)上,萬(wan)不(bu)(bu)肯空,煩妄(wang)放不(bu)(bu)下(xia)。妄(wang)惑之(zhi)路太熟,不(bu)(bu)易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)生(sheng);念佛參(can)禪(chan)修觀,欲證(zheng)(zheng)妙(miao)法,是(shi)生(sheng)路,不(bu)(bu)易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)熟。修行誠難(nan)誠難(nan)!其(qi)妻龐(pang)(pang)婆云:"易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)!易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)!易(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)!百草頭(tou)(tou)上祖師意,拈來無(wu)不(bu)(bu)是(shi)。"翠竹(zhu)黃花,無(wu)非般若。

蘇東(dong)坡(po)所(suo)謂(wei)溪聲盡是(shi)(shi)(shi)廣長舌,山色無(wu)(wu)非(fei)(fei)清凈身,地水(shui)火風,根塵識界(jie),無(wu)(wu)非(fei)(fei)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)。凡情妄緣,其(qi)性(xing)本空,即(ji)粗(cu)是(shi)(shi)(shi)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao),無(wu)(wu)權不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)實,妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)性(xing)天(tian)然(ran),本來(lai)(lai)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)(shi)(shi),故(gu)云易(yi)也。其(qi)女靈昭女,異常聰慧(hui),乃云:"也不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)難(nan),也不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)易(yi),饑來(lai)(lai)吃(chi)(chi)(chi)飯(fan)(fan)疲來(lai)(lai)睡。"行住坐臥,無(wu)(wu)非(fei)(fei)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)過吾(wu)人(ren)(ren)吃(chi)(chi)(chi)睡,都(dou)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成樣(yang)罷!試思(si)(si)吃(chi)(chi)(chi)飯(fan)(fan)時,常起(qi)妄想,去(qu)(qu)分(fen)別(bie)菜之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)好(hao)(hao)丑(chou)、味之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)甘(gan)苦。于是(shi)(shi)(shi)好(hao)(hao)則(ze)貪而多吃(chi)(chi)(chi),丑(chou)則(ze)厭而少吃(chi)(chi)(chi),這(zhe)即(ji)是(shi)(shi)(shi)即(ji)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)成粗(cu)法(fa)。如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)能一心(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)亂,盡管(guan)往下吃(chi)(chi)(chi),驀直食飯(fan)(fan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)起(qi)思(si)(si)量分(fen)別(bie),所(suo)謂(wei)終(zhong)日吃(chi)(chi)(chi)飯(fan)(fan),沒(mei)有咬著一顆米。以無(wu)(wu)意識作用。故(gu)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)(shi)(shi)吃(chi)(chi)(chi)飯(fan)(fan),謂(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)應供(gong),謂(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)佛事(shi)。吃(chi)(chi)(chi)飯(fan)(fan)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)(shi)(shi),睡覺亦(yi)然(ran)。睡時顛(dian)倒(dao)(dao)夢想,便非(fei)(fei)真睡。真睡,要(yao)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)至人(ren)(ren)的無(wu)(wu)夢才是(shi)(shi)(shi)。無(wu)(wu)顛(dian)倒(dao)(dao)夢想,寤寐一如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru),即(ji)是(shi)(shi)(shi)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)。昔玉(yu)琳國師(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)師(shi)兄,終(zhong)日睡覺,人(ren)(ren)以為(wei)惰,但他的睡與(yu)人(ren)(ren)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)同(tong),寐中寂(ji)(ji)寂(ji)(ji)惺惺,惺惺寂(ji)(ji)寂(ji)(ji),其(qi)功夫實超過玉(yu)琳,所(suo)以說(shuo)睡覺也即(ji)是(shi)(shi)(shi)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)。眠食如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)(shi)(shi),一切法(fa)無(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)皆(jie)然(ran)。要(yao)言之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),是(shi)(shi)(shi)法(fa)非(fei)(fei)思(si)(si)量分(fen)別(bie)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所(suo)能解,謂(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)。所(suo)以不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)要(yao)去(qu)(qu)分(fen)別(bie),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)要(yao)去(qu)(qu)思(si)(si)量,一心(xin)湛(zhan)然(ran),闃爾無(wu)(wu)寄,天(tian)臺所(suo)謂(wei)一心(xin)三觀,凈土所(suo)謂(wei)一心(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)亂,許(xu)爾與(yu)妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa),覿面相見(jian)。故(gu)昔釋迦,講妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)法(fa)計有八年(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)久。天(tian)臺智者,亦(yi)須九旬談妙(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)(miao)。若廣開起(qi)來(lai)(lai),橫說(shuo)豎說(shuo),窮劫難(nan)盡,只好(hao)(hao)由諸位親見(jian)親證(zheng)罷!

蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua)不(bu)(bu)(bu)同(tong)(tong)凡花(hua)(hua),借(jie)作比喻(yu)(yu)(yu),以(yi)譬(pi)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)。蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua)內有(you)(you)(you)蓮(lian)子,外(wai)有(you)(you)(you)蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua),子為(wei)果(guo),花(hua)(hua)為(wei)因(yin)(yin),花(hua)(hua)果(guo)一起,喻(yu)(yu)(yu)因(yin)(yin)果(guo)同(tong)(tong)時,不(bu)(bu)(bu)離(li)本(ben)(ben)覺(jue)妙(miao)(miao)心。蓮(lian)根藏泥水(shui)(shui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中,而(er)(er)蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua)則(ze)獨立(li)泥水(shui)(shui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)上(shang)。泥猶(you)六道(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)著有(you)(you)(you),水(shui)(shui)猶(you)二(er)乘之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)著空(kong)(kong)(kong);蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)獨立(li)于泥水(shui)(shui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)上(shang),即(ji)(ji)(ji)喻(yu)(yu)(yu)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)超然空(kong)(kong)(kong)有(you)(you)(you)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)上(shang),而(er)(er)顯非(fei)空(kong)(kong)(kong)非(fei)有(you)(you)(you)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中道(dao)義諦(di)。蓮(lian)根之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)離(li)乎泥水(shui)(shui),即(ji)(ji)(ji)喻(yu)(yu)(yu)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)雙照(zhao)即(ji)(ji)(ji)空(kong)(kong)(kong)即(ji)(ji)(ji)有(you)(you)(you),而(er)(er)顯雙照(zhao)真俗之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)圓中妙(miao)(miao)諦(di),雙遮雙照(zhao),遮照(zhao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)二(er)。心包六道(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)有(you)(you)(you)、二(er)乘之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)空(kong)(kong)(kong),故能廣度六道(dao)三(san)(san)乘,此(ci)(ci)所以(yi)喻(yu)(yu)(yu)法(fa)(fa)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)也(ye)(ye)。且蓮(lian)花(hua)(hua)與(yu)蓮(lian)子,兩不(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)離(li),有(you)(you)(you)花(hua)(hua)必蓮(lian),即(ji)(ji)(ji)證因(yin)(yin)果(guo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)二(er)。釋(shi)迦初成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)時,眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)機(ji)緣未(wei)熟,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能直談法(fa)(fa)華妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa),只(zhi)好講(jiang)權(quan)門方(fang)便法(fa)(fa),如(ru)(ru)華嚴、阿含、方(fang)等、般若(ruo)等經(jing)(jing),先來(lai)善誘勸導。初講(jiang)三(san)(san)皈五戒(jie),次(ci)說四(si)(si)諦(di)十(shi)(shi)二(er)因(yin)(yin)緣,三(san)(san)乘等法(fa)(fa),然雖說種種道(dao),其實為(wei)佛(fo)乘,是(shi)名(ming)為(wei)實施權(quan),即(ji)(ji)(ji)為(wei)蓮(lian)而(er)(er)有(you)(you)(you)花(hua)(hua)。四(si)(si)十(shi)(shi)年后(hou),時至(zhi)機(ji)熟,乃在法(fa)(fa)華會上(shang),方(fang)開(kai)(kai)權(quan)顯實,三(san)(san)乘同(tong)(tong)歸一佛(fo)乘,無(wu)粗不(bu)(bu)(bu)妙(miao)(miao),即(ji)(ji)(ji)如(ru)(ru)華開(kai)(kai)蓮(lian)現。經(jing)(jing)云:"若(ruo)有(you)(you)(you)聞法(fa)(fa)者(zhe)(zhe),無(wu)一不(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)。"又(you)云:"一稱南(nan)無(wu)佛(fo),皆共成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)道(dao)。"又(you)花(hua)(hua)落(luo)蓮(lian)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng),喻(yu)(yu)(yu)廢權(quan)立(li)實。實外(wai)無(wu)權(quan),妙(miao)(miao)外(wai)無(wu)粗,妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)全彰,眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)是(shi)佛(fo),此(ci)(ci)為(wei)法(fa)(fa)華前(qian)(qian)十(shi)(shi)四(si)(si)品之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)蓮(lian)華。但世人(ren)只(zhi)知(zhi)釋(shi)迦前(qian)(qian)為(wei)悉(xi)達太子,十(shi)(shi)九歲出家(jia),苦行六年,游歷五年,到(dao)三(san)(san)十(shi)(shi)歲才(cai)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)。其實釋(shi)迦于無(wu)量劫前(qian)(qian),塵點劫前(qian)(qian),早已(yi)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo),徹證妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)。然則(ze)何(he)以(yi)再來(lai)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)佛(fo)呢?為(wei)憐憫眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死輪(lun)回,故非(fei)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)而(er)(er)現生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),非(fei)滅(mie)而(er)(er)示滅(mie),往來(lai)娑(suo)(suo)婆(po)世界,不(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)其數。如(ru)(ru)梵網經(jing)(jing)云:"我(wo)今來(lai)此(ci)(ci)娑(suo)(suo)婆(po)世界,前(qian)(qian)后(hou)八千番。"此(ci)(ci)猶(you)約(yue)化(hua)(hua)跡(ji)而(er)(er)言,這(zhe)才(cai)是(shi)佛(fo)的真面目(mu)。開(kai)(kai)跡(ji)顯本(ben)(ben),現身(shen)度生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),有(you)(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)千江(jiang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)水(shui)(shui)千江(jiang)月(yue)(yue)。水(shui)(shui)月(yue)(yue)是(shi)跡(ji),天月(yue)(yue)是(shi)本(ben)(ben),從本(ben)(ben)垂跡(ji),如(ru)(ru)為(wei)蓮(lian)故華;開(kai)(kai)跡(ji)顯本(ben)(ben),如(ru)(ru)華開(kai)(kai)蓮(lian)現;廢跡(ji)立(li)本(ben)(ben),則(ze)如(ru)(ru)花(hua)(hua)落(luo)蓮(lian)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)矣(yi)!跡(ji)門三(san)(san)喻(yu)(yu)(yu),本(ben)(ben)門三(san)(san)喻(yu)(yu)(yu),無(wu)一非(fei)喻(yu)(yu)(yu)妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)。妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)玄深,恐大家(jia)不(bu)(bu)(bu)易明白,因(yin)(yin)以(yi)蓮(lian)華為(wei)喻(yu)(yu)(yu)。諸有(you)(you)(you)智者(zhe)(zhe),應以(yi)蓮(lian)華之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)喻(yu)(yu)(yu),而(er)(er)領悟妙(miao)(miao)法(fa)(fa)也(ye)(ye)。梵語修多羅,此(ci)(ci)云契(qi)經(jing)(jing)。上(shang)契(qi)佛(fo)道(dao),下契(qi)群機(ji),故名(ming)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)為(wei)經(jing)(jing)。經(jing)(jing)者(zhe)(zhe)常(chang)也(ye)(ye),千途(tu)同(tong)(tong)歸,常(chang)住不(bu)(bu)(bu)變。經(jing)(jing)者(zhe)(zhe)法(fa)(fa)也(ye)(ye),所以(yi)示我(wo)人(ren)以(yi)法(fa)(fa)度軌道(dao)。經(jing)(jing)者(zhe)(zhe)徑(jing)也(ye)(ye),為(wei)吾人(ren)修行之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)徑(jing)路。經(jing)(jing)者(zhe)(zhe)典也(ye)(ye),為(wei)教化(hua)(hua)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)闡揚佛(fo)化(hua)(hua)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)定典也(ye)(ye),這(zhe)就是(shi)經(jing)(jing)字的解釋(shi)。

觀世音信仰很早就流(liu)行(xing)于西域,而且歷久不衰。因此,近人在(zai)中國新疆吐魯(lu)番發現了回鶻文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)和古代(dai)突厥文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)的《普門(men)品(pin)》譯(yi)本(ben)。其(qi)回鶻文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)本(ben)由拉(la)德洛夫校刊并翻(fan)成德文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen),作(zuo)為俄(e)國的《佛(fo)教文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)庫》第(di)十四期,1911年在(zai)圣彼得(de)堡刊行(xing)。此外(wai),有(you)意大利文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)重譯(yi)本(ben)(依(yi)漢(han)譯(yi)本(ben)重譯(yi))。還(huan)有(you)日本(ben)渡邊照宏、長澤實導的兩(liang)種日文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)譯(yi)本(ben)(1935、1940年依(yi)梵(fan)本(ben)翻(fan)譯(yi))。

注釋譯文

稱其(qi)(qi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)故(gu),即(ji)得(de)(de)解(jie)(jie)脫。無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)(jin)意(yi),觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)摩訶薩(sa)(sa)(sa),威(wei)(wei)神之(zhi)力,巍巍如是。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)有(you)(you)(you)(you)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),多于(yu)淫欲(yu),常(chang)念(nian)(nian)恭(gong)敬(jing)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),便(bian)(bian)(bian)得(de)(de)離(li)欲(yu)。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)多嗔恚(hui)(huì),常(chang)念(nian)(nian)恭(gong)敬(jing)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),便(bian)(bian)(bian)得(de)(de)離(li)嗔。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)多愚(yu)癡,常(chang)念(nian)(nian)恭(gong)敬(jing)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),便(bian)(bian)(bian)得(de)(de)離(li)癡。無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)(jin)意(yi),觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),有(you)(you)(you)(you)如是等大(da)(da)威(wei)(wei)神力,多所饒(rao)益。是故(gu)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),常(chang)應心(xin)念(nian)(nian)。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)有(you)(you)(you)(you)女(nv)人(ren)(ren)(ren),設欲(yu)求(qiu)男(nan)(nan),禮拜(bai)供養觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),便(bian)(bian)(bian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)福德智慧(hui)之(zhi)男(nan)(nan);設欲(yu)求(qiu)女(nv),便(bian)(bian)(bian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)端正有(you)(you)(you)(you)相之(zhi)女(nv),宿植德本(ben),眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)人(ren)(ren)(ren)愛敬(jing)。無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)(jin)意(yi),觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)有(you)(you)(you)(you)如是力。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)有(you)(you)(you)(you)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),恭(gong)敬(jing)禮拜(bai)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa),福不唐捐。是故(gu)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),皆應受持觀(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)世(shi)(shi)音(yin)(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)名(ming)(ming)(ming)號。無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)(jin)意(yi),若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)有(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren),受持六十二億(yi)恒河沙菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)名(ming)(ming)(ming)字,復盡(jin)(jin)形(xing)供養飲食、衣服、臥具、醫(yi)藥,于(yu)汝意(yi)云何?是善男(nan)(nan)子、善女(nv)人(ren)(ren)(ren),功德多否?”

無盡意言:“甚多,世尊。”

佛言:“若復有(you)人,受持觀世音菩薩名(ming)號,乃至一時禮(li)拜供養(yang),是二人福,正等無(wu)(wu)異,于百千萬億劫,不可(ke)窮盡。無(wu)(wu)盡意,受持觀世音菩薩名(ming)號,得(de)如是無(wu)(wu)量(liang)無(wu)(wu)邊福德(de)之利。”

無盡意菩薩白佛言:“世尊,觀世音菩薩,云何游(you)此(ci)娑婆(po)世界?云何而為眾生(sheng)說(shuo)法?方(fang)便之力,其事云何?”

)人等身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)得(de)(de)(de)度(du)(du)(du)(du)(du)者(zhe),即(ji)皆(jie)現之而(er)(er)為(wei)(wei)(wei)說(shuo)法(fa)(fa)(fa)。應(ying)(ying)(ying)(ying)以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)執金剛神得(de)(de)(de)度(du)(du)(du)(du)(du)者(zhe),即(ji)現執金剛神而(er)(er)為(wei)(wei)(wei)說(shuo)法(fa)(fa)(fa)。無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)意(yi),是觀世(shi)音菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa),成就如是功德,以(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)種種形,游(you)諸國土(tu)(tu),度(du)(du)(du)(du)(du)脫(tuo)眾生(sheng)。是故汝等,應(ying)(ying)(ying)(ying)當一心供養(yang)觀世(shi)音菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)。是觀世(shi)音菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)摩(mo)訶薩(sa),于怖(bu)畏急難(nan)之中,能施無(wu)(wu)畏,是故此娑婆(po)(po)(po)世(shi)界,皆(jie)號之為(wei)(wei)(wei)施無(wu)(wu)畏者(zhe)。”

無盡意菩(pu)薩(sa)白(bai)佛言:“世尊,我今當供養觀世音菩(pu)薩(sa)。” 即解頸眾寶珠(zhu)瓔珞,價值百千兩金,而以與之。作(zuo)是言:“仁(ren)者,受此(ci)法施珍寶瓔珞。”

時觀(guan)世(shi)音(yin)菩薩,不肯受(shou)之。無盡意復白觀(guan)世(shi)音(yin)菩薩言:“仁(ren)者,憫我等故(gu),受(shou)此(ci)瓔珞。”

爾時(shi),佛告觀世音(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa):“當憫此(ci)無盡意菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa),及四(si)眾、天、龍(long)、夜叉、乾闥(ta)婆、阿修羅、迦(jia)樓羅、緊那羅、摩(mo)睺羅伽(jia)、人(ren)非人(ren)等故,受(shou)是瓔(ying)珞。” 即時(shi),觀世音(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa),憫諸四(si)眾,及于天龍(long)、人(ren)非人(ren)等,受(shou)其瓔(ying)珞,分(fen)作(zuo)二分(fen),一分(fen)奉釋迦(jia)牟尼(ni)佛,一分(fen)奉多寶佛塔(ta)。“無盡意,觀世音(yin)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa),有如是自在神力,游于娑婆世界。” 爾時(shi),無盡意菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)。以偈問曰(yue)

世尊妙相(xiang)具(ju), 我今(jin)重問(wen)彼:佛子何因緣? 名為(wei)觀(guan)世音!

具足妙相尊, 偈答(da)無盡意(yi):汝(ru)聽觀(guan)音行, 善應諸方所。

弘誓深如(ru)海, 歷劫不思議(yi),侍多千億(yi)佛, 發大清(qing)凈愿!

我為(wei)汝略(lve)說: 聞名及見身,心念不空過, 能(neng)滅諸有苦。

假使興害(hai)意, 推落大(da)火坑,念彼觀音力, 火坑變成池!

或(huo)漂流巨海,龍魚(yu)諸鬼難,念彼觀音(yin)力, 波(bo)浪不能沒!

或在(zai)須(xu)彌峰, 為人(ren)所推墮,念(nian)彼觀音力(li), 如日虛空住!

或被惡人逐, 墮落金剛山,念彼觀音(yin)力, 不(bu)能損(sun)一毛!

或值怨賊繞, 各執刀加害,念彼觀音力, 咸即起慈心(xin)!

或(huo)遭王難苦(ku), 臨刑欲壽(shou)終(zhong),念彼(bi)觀(guan)音力, 刀尋段段壞!

或(huo)囚禁枷鎖, 手足被杻械,念彼觀音力, 釋然(ran)得(de)解脫!

咒詛諸毒藥, 所欲害身者,念彼觀音力, 還著于本人!

或遇(yu)惡羅剎, 毒龍諸(zhu)鬼(gui)等,念彼觀音力, 時悉不敢害(hai)!

若惡(e)獸圍繞, 利牙爪(zhua)可(ke)怖(bu),念彼(bi)觀音力, 疾(ji)走無邊方!

蚖蛇及蝮蝎, 氣(qi)毒煙火燃,念彼(bi)觀音力, 尋聲自回(hui)去!

云雷(lei)鼓掣電(dian), 降雹澍大雨,念(nian)彼觀音力, 應時(shi)得消(xiao)散!

眾生被困厄,無(wu)量苦(ku)逼身,觀音妙智(zhi)力, 能救世間苦(ku)!

具足神通力, 廣修智方便,十方諸國土(tu), 無剎(cha)不(bu)現身!

種種諸惡趣, 地獄鬼畜(chu)生,生老病(bing)死(si)苦, 以(yi)漸(jian)悉(xi)令滅(mie)!

真觀清凈觀, 廣大智慧(hui)觀,悲(bei)觀及慈觀, 常愿常瞻仰!

無垢清凈光, 慧(hui)日破諸暗,能伏(fu)災風火, 普(pu)明照(zhao)世間!

悲(bei)體戒雷(lei)震, 慈意妙大云(yun),澍甘露法雨(yu), 滅(mie)除煩惱(nao)焰!

諍(zheng)訟經官(guan)處, 怖(bu)畏軍陣中(zhong),念彼觀音力, 眾(zhong)怨悉退散!

妙(miao)音觀世音, 梵(fan)音海潮音,勝彼世間音, 是故須常念!

念念勿生疑, 觀世音(yin)凈圣(sheng),于(yu)苦惱死厄, 能(neng)為作(zuo)依怙!

具一切(qie)功德, 慈眼視眾生,福(fu)聚海(hai)無量, 是故應頂(ding)禮(li)!

爾時,持地菩(pu)薩(sa),即從座起,前白佛(fo)(fo)言(yan):“世尊,若(ruo)有眾生(sheng),聞是觀(guan)世音菩(pu)薩(sa)品自在之業,普(pu)門(men)示現神(shen)通力者,當知是人功德不少(shao)!” 佛(fo)(fo)說是普(pu)門(men)品時,眾中(zhong)八萬四千眾生(sheng),皆發(fa)無等等阿耨多羅三藐三菩(pu)提心。

觀音菩薩

觀(guan)音菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa):梵文Avalokite?vara,又作觀(guan)世音菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)、觀(guan)自在菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)、光世音菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)等,從字面(mian)解(jie)釋(shi)就是“觀(guan)察(世間民(min)眾的)聲音”的菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa),是四大菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)之(zhi)一(yi)。他相貌端莊慈祥,經常手(shou)持凈瓶楊柳,具有無量的智慧和神(shen)通,大慈大悲,普(pu)救人(ren)間疾(ji)苦。當(dang)人(ren)們遇(yu)到災難時,只要念其名號,便(bian)前往救度,所以(yi)稱觀(guan)世音。在佛(fo)教中,他是西方極樂世界教主阿(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)座(zuo)下的上首菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa),同大勢(shi)至菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)一(yi)起,是阿(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)身邊的脅侍菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa),并(bing)稱“西方三圣”。

如何修持

觀世(shi)音(yin)(yin)菩薩(sa)的(de)修(xiu)學(xue)從(cong)持念觀世(shi)音(yin)(yin)菩薩(sa)名號、大悲咒(zhou)、普門品以及觀世(shi)音(yin)(yin)菩薩(sa)的(de)經典入手,加上(shang)(shang)修(xiu)習福慧(hui)善根,得大自(zi)在的(de)法門,使眾生得到無上(shang)(shang)功德(de),菩薩(sa)在無意識(shi)界中福蔭萬(wan)代(dai)。

一、修持觀(guan)(guan)世(shi)音菩(pu)薩(sa)法門要(yao)有大(da)悲憫憐一切眾生(sheng),更(geng)不要(yao)說(shuo)去(qu)傷害(hai)眾生(sheng)的話(hua),因為(wei)菩(pu)薩(sa)叫做大(da)悲觀(guan)(guan)世(shi)音。只有去(qu)幫(bang)助(zhu)大(da)家遠去(qu)痛(tong)苦,永得(de)快(kuai)樂。我們(men)己身也會(hui)得(de)到快(kuai)樂的福。

二、修持觀世音菩薩法門要有一顆(ke)樸實(shi)清凈之心(xin)。我們己身也會得到脫苦的福。

三、修持(chi)觀世音菩(pu)薩法門要送給(gei)大家飲食、衣服、醫(yi)藥、家庭常(chang)用(yong)品(pin)和一(yi)切所需要的物品(pin)。我們(men)己身也會得(de)到富貴的福。

四(si)、修持觀世音菩薩(sa)法(fa)門遠離一切不如法(fa)的事(shi),利益和貢(gong)獻所有(you)人。我們己身也(ye)會得到萬事(shi)如意(yi)的福。

五、修持觀(guan)世音菩薩法門(men)要己學,還要開示大(da)家學習布施等六波(bo)羅密的好處。我們己身(shen)也會得(de)到(dao)受(shou)生(sheng)尊貴的福。

七、修持觀世音菩薩法門若大家對(dui)我(wo)們有所(suo)(suo)求,要極力(li)去幫忙(mang)他(ta)們的(de)達成(cheng)愿(yuan)望(wang)。我(wo)們己身(shen)也會得(de)到所(suo)(suo)求如愿(yuan)的(de)福(fu)。

八、修持觀世(shi)音菩薩法(fa)門不要生貪婪的心(xin),舍(she)掉恨毒的心(xin),才不會(hui)愚(yu)癡(chi)無(wu)智(zhi)慧。以求明心(xin)見性(xing)。我(wo)們己身也會(hui)得到無(wu)煩惱清涼境界的福。

九、修持觀世音菩薩法(fa)(fa)門(men)要深入經藏(zang),為人說法(fa)(fa)就會辯才無礙。我們己身也會得到廣大圓滿的福(fu)。

十、修持觀(guan)世(shi)音菩薩法門要常修福(fu)、慧、學忍辱(ru)。我(wo)們己身也會得(de)到一切種智和相好光(guang)明的福(fu)。
