四(si)殿(dian)仵官王所管轄的地方叫“合大地獄(yu)(yu)”,位于大海(hai)之底(di)、正東方沃燋石下。四(si)殿(dian)閻君,懲罰(fa)的是生(sheng)前樂行(xing)殺、盜、邪(xie)行(xing)三(san)業的惡徒。此地獄(yu)(yu)縱橫八(ba)千里,另設(she)有十六個小地獄(yu)(yu)。
十(shi)(shi)六(liu)個(ge)小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)分別為:一、池(chi)小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);二、蝥鏈竹簽小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);三、沸湯澆手小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);四、掌畔流(liu)液小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);五、斷筋(jin)剔骨小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);六(liu)、堰(yan)肩刷皮小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);七(qi)、鎖膚小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);八、蹲峰小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);九、鐵衣(yi)小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)、木石土(tu)瓦壓小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)一、劍眼小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)二、飛灰(hui)塞(sai)口(kou)小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)三、灌(guan)藥小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)四、油滑跌小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)五、刺(ci)嘴小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu);十(shi)(shi)六(liu)、碎石埋身小(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)地(di)(di)獄(yu)(yu)(yu)。
東晉時期帛尸(shi)梨蜜多羅譯《佛說(shuo)大灌(guan)頂(ding)神(shen)咒經》中(zhong)記(ji)載(zai)有(you)(you)(you)(you)五官,司掌佛教殺(sha)、盜、淫、妄語、酒五戒:“閻(yan)羅王(wang)(wang)者(zhe)(zhe)主領世間(jian)名籍(ji)之記(ji)。若人為惡(e)作(zuo)諸非法、無孝順心造(zao)作(zuo)五逆、破滅三寶無君(jun)臣法,又有(you)(you)(you)(you)眾生(sheng)不持五戒不信(xin)正法,設有(you)(you)(you)(you)受者(zhe)(zhe)多所毀犯,于是(shi)地下鬼神(shen)及伺候者(zhe)(zhe)奏(zou)上(shang)五官。五官料簡除(chu)死定生(sheng),或注(zhu)(zhu)錄精神(shen)未判是(shi)非。若已定者(zhe)(zhe)奏(zou)上(shang)閻(yan)羅,閻(yan)羅監察隨罪輕重考而治之。(注(zhu)(zhu)釋:此處為五官王(wang)(wang)的最早記(ji)錄來源之一,有(you)(you)(you)(you)明確的史料記(ji)載(zai)。)
據唐代(dai)《地(di)藏菩薩發心(xin)因(yin)緣十(shi)王(wang)經(jing)》與《預(yu)修十(shi)王(wang)生七(qi)(qi)經(jing)》所載記(ji)載:五(wu)官(guan)王(wang)冥界十(shi)王(wang)之(zhi)第四王(wang)。即(ji)于三江(jiang)間(jian)建大(da)殿(dian)(dian),治眾生妄語罪的(de)冥官(guan)。大(da)殿(dian)(dian)左(zuo)(zuo)右各(ge)有一(yi)(yi)舍(she),左(zuo)(zuo)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)量(liang)(liang)舍(she),右勘(kan)錄(lu)舍(she)。左(zuo)(zuo)有高臺(tai),臺(tai)上(shang)有秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)量(liang)(liang)幢,業(ye)(ye)匠構巧,懸(xuan)(xuan)七(qi)(qi)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)量(liang)(liang),身口七(qi)(qi)罪為紀輕(qing)重(zhong)。意(yi)業(ye)(ye)所作不懸(xuan)(xuan)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)量(liang)(liang),次至鏡臺(tai)當見鏡影。第四七(qi)(qi)日過五(wu)官(guan)王(wang)殿(dian)(dian)。五(wu)官(guan)王(wang)依案(an)審(shen)閱亡(wang)者(zhe)善(shan)(shan)惡的(de)卷宗,亡(wang)者(zhe)帶枷待(dai)判,前(qian)有衡量(liang)(liang)亡(wang)人善(shan)(shan)惡的(de)業(ye)(ye)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)。贊曰:五(wu)官(guan)業(ye)(ye)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)向空懸(xuan)(xuan),左(zuo)(zuo)右雙童業(ye)(ye)簿全(quan)。轉(zhuan)重(zhong)豈由情所愿,囗昂自任(ren)昔因(yin)緣。(注釋:大(da)體意(yi)思是人在死后四七(qi)(qi)日到五(wu)官(guan)王(wang)的(de)大(da)殿(dian)(dian)接受審(shen)判,大(da)殿(dian)(dian)中(zhong)間(jian)有一(yi)(yi)桿業(ye)(ye)秤(cheng)(cheng)(cheng),大(da)殿(dian)(dian)左(zuo)(zuo)右各(ge)有一(yi)(yi)間(jian)房,左(zuo)(zuo)邊房間(jian)負責稱量(liang)(liang),右邊負責記(ji)錄(lu),五(wu)官(guan)王(wang)根據亡(wang)者(zhe)罪業(ye)(ye)審(shen)理亡(wang)者(zhe)卷宗。)
據(ju)晚(wan)唐至五(wu)代時期道明和尚所撰(zhuan)《佛(fo)(fo)說(shuo)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》記(ji)載:佛(fo)(fo)在鳩尸那(nei)城阿維跋提河(he)邊娑羅雙樹間,臨(lin)涅槃時,為(wei)諸(zhu)(zhu)菩薩、摩(mo)訶薩、天(tian)龍神王(wang)(wang)、四大(da)(da)(da)天(tian)王(wang)(wang)、閻羅天(tian)子、太(tai)山府君、司命司錄、五(wu)道大(da)(da)(da)神、地獄(yu)典官(guan)等授(shou)記(ji)說(shuo)法。佛(fo)(fo)告(gao)大(da)(da)(da)眾閻羅天(tian)子于未來世(shi)作(zuo)佛(fo)(fo),多生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)習善為(wei)犯戒故,退落琰摩(mo)天(tian)中,作(zuo)大(da)(da)(da)魔(mo)王(wang)(wang),管攝諸(zhu)(zhu)鬼(gui),科斷閻浮(fu)提內(nei)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)惡五(wu)逆一(yi)切罪(zui)人(ren)(ren)。勸(quan)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)造(zao)此(ci)經(jing)(jing)及諸(zhu)(zhu)尊像以薦拔亡(wang)魂(hun)、七(qi)(qi)七(qi)(qi)修(xiu)齋(zhai)(zhai)造(zao)像以報父(fu)母恩,令得(de)升天(tian)。人(ren)(ren)死(si)后從頭(tou)七(qi)(qi)、二七(qi)(qi)直至七(qi)(qi)七(qi)(qi),百日、一(yi)年、三(san)年,亡(wang)魂(hun)將逐(zhu)一(yi)經(jing)(jing)過十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)殿,亡(wang)人(ren)(ren)家屬須(xu)祈請十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)作(zuo)齋(zhai)(zhai)修(xiu)福,寫經(jing)(jing)造(zao)像,便可拔除亡(wang)魂(hun)罪(zui)業,使之“不(bu)(bu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)三(san)惡涂(tu)(途(tu)),不(bu)(bu)入一(yi)切諸(zhu)(zhu)大(da)(da)(da)地獄(yu)”,而往(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)天(tian)道。過十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)若闕一(yi)齋(zhai)(zhai),則滯(zhi)在一(yi)王(wang)(wang),留連受苦一(yi)年。若生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)人(ren)(ren)為(wei)己預修(xiu)七(qi)(qi)齋(zhai)(zhai),于每月十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)五(wu)、三(san)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)日兩天(tian)持齋(zhai)(zhai),供養(yang)三(san)寶,祈設十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang),修(xiu)名納狀,奏上六(liu)曹(cao),如此(ci)則死(si)后可配生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)快樂(le)之處,不(bu)(bu)住中陰四十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)九日,不(bu)(bu)待男女追(zhui)救(jiu)命。(注釋:《佛(fo)(fo)說(shuo)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》,《地藏(zang)(zang)菩薩發(fa)心因(yin)緣(yuan)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》都(dou)(dou)統稱(cheng)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing),兩本皆題(ti)為(wei)“成都(dou)(dou)府大(da)(da)(da)圣慈(ci)恩寺沙門藏(zang)(zang)川述”,《佛(fo)(fo)說(shuo)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》內(nei)容偏重度亡(wang),《地藏(zang)(zang)菩薩發(fa)心因(yin)緣(yuan)十(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)王(wang)(wang)經(jing)(jing)》其內(nei)容偏重生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)人(ren)(ren)預修(xiu)。)
據(ju)北宋(song)時期沙門(men)常謹所(suo)撰《地藏菩薩(sa)靈驗記》卷29中(zhong)(zhong)云:“沙門(men)智佑是西印度人也,天福年中(zhong)(zhong)(936~943年)來(lai)自西(原(yuan)文作“來(lai)至而”),住(zhu)清泰寺,所(suo)持(chi)像經中(zhong)(zhong),有地藏菩薩(sa)變(bian)相(xiang)并本愿功德經梵夾,其(qi)像相(xiang)者,中(zhong)(zhong)央(yang)圓(yuan)輪(lun)中(zhong)(zhong)畫菩薩(sa)像,冠帽持(chi)寶錫,左右有十王(wang)(wang)像各五人,左五者:一(yi)(yi)泰(秦(qin))廣王(wang)(wang)、二初江王(wang)(wang)、三(san)宗(宋(song))帝王(wang)(wang)、四五官王(wang)(wang)、五閻羅大王(wang)(wang);右五者:一(yi)(yi)變(bian)成王(wang)(wang)、二太山王(wang)(wang)、三(san)平等王(wang)(wang)、四都市(shi)王(wang)(wang)、五五道(dao)轉輪(lun)王(wang)(wang),一(yi)(yi)一(yi)(yi)各具(ju)司命、司錄、府君、典官等。
