歷史沿革
最早的(de)城隍廟(miao)見于三國吳赤烏(wu)二年(239)建的(de)蕪湖城隍廟(miao)。歷史上有唐人(ren)張說、
李德裕、李陽冰、杜牧(mu)等祭祀(si)(si)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)的(de)文(wen)獻記載。宋代以(yi)后(hou),城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)開始(shi)人(ren)格化、多以(yi)去(qu)世(shi)后(hou)的(de)英雄(xiong)(xiong)或名臣奉為(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen),如蘇(su)(su)州祀(si)(si)戰國時春申(shen)君黃歇,上海祀(si)(si)秦裕伯,北京祀(si)(si)文(wen)天祥(xiang)、楊椒山,杭州祀(si)(si)周新,會(hui)稽祀(si)(si)龐(pang)王,南寧(ning)、桂林祀(si)(si)蘇(su)(su)緘(jian)等。后(hou)唐末帝清泰元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)年(nian)(934)封(feng)(feng)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)王爵。明(ming)(ming)太(tai)(tai)祖(zu)洪武(wu)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)年(nian)(1368)則下旨封(feng)(feng)開封(feng)(feng)、臨濠、束和(he)、平(ping)滁四城(cheng)(cheng)的(de)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)王,職位正(zheng)一品,與人(ren)間的(de)太(tai)(tai)師、太(tai)(tai)傅(fu)、太(tai)(tai)保“三(san)(san)公(gong)(gong)”和(he)左、右丞(cheng)相平(ping)級,又(you)封(feng)(feng)各(ge)府、州、縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)公(gong)(gong)、侯、伯,即府城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)監(jian)察司(si)氏城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)威靈(ling)公(gong)(gong),職位正(zheng)二品;州城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)監(jian)察司(si)氏城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)顯佑(you)侯,職位正(zheng)三(san)(san)品;縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)監(jian)察司(si)氏城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)顯佑(you)伯,職位正(zheng)四品,并且(qie)重建各(ge)地城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)廟,規(gui)模高廣與當地官署衙(ya)門完全(quan)一樣,還按級別配制冕旒哀(ai)服。明(ming)(ming)太(tai)(tai)祖(zu)洪武(wu)三(san)(san)年(nian)(1370)正(zheng)祀(si)(si)典,詔去(qu)封(feng)(feng)號,只稱“某府或某縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)之神(shen),又(you)令(ling)各(ge)地城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)廟不得雜祀(si)(si)其他之神(shen)。據(ju)說明(ming)(ming)太(tai)(tai)祖(zu)朱元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)璋出生在土(tu)地廟里(li),所以(yi)他對土(tu)地廟以(yi)及(ji)土(tu)地的(de)“上司(si)”城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)極(ji)為(wei)崇敬(jing)。明(ming)(ming)孝(xiao)宗年(nian)間(1488—1506),莆(pu)田(tian)抗元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)英雄(xiong)(xiong)陳(chen)文(wen)龍(1232—1277)被封(feng)(feng)為(wei)福州城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)爺,其從叔抗元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)英雄(xiong)(xiong)陳(chen)瓚(1232—1277)被封(feng)(feng)為(wei)興(xing)化府城(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)爺。
在原莆田縣內,有創建(jian)于明洪武二(er)年(1369),位于城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)內長(chang)壽街廟(miao)前(qian)巷的興(xing)化府城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)廟(miao),由照墻、外埕、大(da)門、甬(yong)道、儀門、中門、正殿、后殿及兩廂護厝等組(zu)成,占地面積(ji)24畝(mu)(一說(shuo)18畝(mu)),與興(xing)化府衙,莆田縣衙一樣(yang)大(da),為莆田五大(da)宮廟(miao)之一;主祀城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)大(da)神陳瓚,俗(su)稱城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)爺。該(gai)廟(miao)現為福建(jian)省級(ji)重(zhong)點文物保護單位。
歷史文化
這(zhe)(zhe)是一(yi)座典(dian)型的(de)漢(han)式寺廟(miao),格(ge)局(ju)簡煉。一(yi)如(ru)隨意散落(luo)在江南某(mou)個小鎮的(de)庵院(yuan)廟(miao)堂,但是稍加留意便可看出這(zhe)(zhe)座寺廟(miao)的(de)氣度與眾不同。首先廟(miao)前高(gao)懸的(de)道(dao)幡說(shuo)明(ming)這(zhe)(zhe)是一(yi)座道(dao)教(jiao)寺廟(miao),這(zhe)(zhe)在熱(re)河(he)(he)街上可謂鳳毛麟角(jiao)。遍布避暑山莊(zhuang)周(zhou)圍(wei)的(de)多為藏(zang)傳佛教(jiao)寺廟(miao),而(er)修(xiu)建(jian)這(zhe)(zhe)樣一(yi)座道(dao)教(jiao)寺廟(miao)則是出于對漢(han)族群眾宗教(jiao)信(xin)仰的(de)尊重,同時(shi)由乾隆欽定“熱(re)河(he)(he)都(dou)城(cheng)隍廟(miao)”似可說(shuo)明(ming)古熱(re)河(he)(he)在當時(shi)社會的(de)政(zheng)治地位。

城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang),起(qi)源(yuan)于古代的(de)(de)水(隍(huang))庸(城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng))的(de)(de)祭(ji)祀,為(wei)(wei)《周宮》八(ba)神(shen)之一(yi)。“城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)”原(yuan)指(zhi)挖土筑的(de)(de)高墻,“隍(huang)”原(yuan)指(zhi)沒(mei)有(you)(you)水的(de)(de)護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)壕(hao)。古人造城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)是(shi)為(wei)(wei)了(le)保護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)內百(bai)姓的(de)(de)安(an)全,所以(yi)修了(le)高大(da)的(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)墻、城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)樓、城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)門以(yi)及壕(hao)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)河。他們認為(wei)(wei)與人們的(de)(de)生活、生產(chan)安(an)全密(mi)切(qie)相關的(de)(de)事物,都有(you)(you)神(shen)在,于是(shi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)和(he)隍(huang)被神(shen)化(hua)為(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)市的(de)(de)保護神(shen)。道教把它(ta)納(na)入自(zi)己的(de)(de)神(shen)系(xi),稱它(ta)是(shi)剪(jian)除兇惡、保國護邦之神(shen),并管領陰間的(de)(de)亡魂(hun)。

特色
城隍廟現為承德(de)市為數不多的一家道(dao)教寺(si)廟,風格有(you)別(bie)于外八廟,很(hen)值得一看。這里每(mei)日(ri)上午9:00-10:00有(you)道(dao)教法(fa)事活(huo)動,且每(mei)逢重(zhong)大道(dao)教節日(ri),必舉行道(dao)教法(fa)會慶(qing)賀。
旅游交通
城隍廟位(wei)于西大(da)街路(lu)北,出避暑山莊沿(yan)麗(li)正門大(da)街西行至火神廟處,右轉(zhuan)上西大(da)街再(zai)走約1公(gong)里。也可(ke)乘(cheng)5路(lu)、7路(lu)公(gong)交車(che)(che)到中醫院(yuan)下車(che)(che)即(ji)到,乘(cheng)小公(gong)共汽車(che)(che)或打車(che)(che)更(geng)為(wei)方便。
