【原文】其智宏深,譬如(ru)巨海;菩提高廣(guang),喻若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)須(xu)彌;自(zi)身威光,超于日月;其心潔白,猶如(ru)雪山;忍辱如(ru)地(di)(di),一(yi)切平等;清(qing)凈如(ru)水,洗諸塵垢(gou);熾(chi)盛(sheng)如(ru)火,燒煩惱薪;不(bu)(bu)著(zhu)(zhu)如(ru)風,無諸障礙。法(fa)音雷(lei)震,覺未(wei)覺故(gu)(gu);雨甘露法(fa),潤(run)眾生(sheng)(sheng)故(gu)(gu);曠(kuang)若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)虛空(kong),大(da)慈等故(gu)(gu);如(ru)凈蓮華(hua),離染污故(gu)(gu);如(ru)尼拘樹,覆蔭大(da)故(gu)(gu);如(ru)金(jin)剛杵(chu),破邪(xie)執故(gu)(gu);如(ru)鐵圍山,眾魔(mo)外(wai)道不(bu)(bu)能動故(gu)(gu)。其心正直(zhi),善(shan)巧(qiao)決定;論(lun)法(fa)無厭,求法(fa)不(bu)(bu)倦;戒若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)琉璃,內外(wai)明(ming)潔;其所言說,令眾悅(yue)服。擊法(fa)鼓,建法(fa)幢,曜(yao)慧日,破癡暗。淳凈溫和,寂(ji)定明(ming)察。為(wei)大(da)導(dao)師(shi),調伏(fu)自(zi)他。引導(dao)群生(sheng)(sheng),舍諸愛著(zhu)(zhu)。永離三(san)垢(gou),游(you)戲神通。因緣愿力,出生(sheng)(sheng)善(shan)根。摧伏(fu)一(yi)切魔(mo)軍,尊重奉事諸佛。為(wei)世明(ming)燈,最勝(sheng)福田,殊勝(sheng)吉(ji)祥,堪受供養(yang)。赫奕(yi)歡(huan)喜,雄猛無畏。身色相(xiang)好(hao),功德辯才,具足莊嚴,無與等者(zhe)(zhe)。常為(wei)諸佛所共稱(cheng)贊。究(jiu)竟菩薩諸波羅蜜,而常安住不(bu)(bu)生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)滅諸三(san)摩地(di)(di)。行遍道場,遠二乘境。阿難,我(wo)今略說彼(bi)極(ji)樂界(jie),所生(sheng)(sheng)菩薩,真實功德,悉(xi)皆如(ru)是。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)廣(guang)說者(zhe)(zhe),百千(qian)萬劫不(bu)(bu)能窮盡(jin)。
【譯文】極樂世(shi)界菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)(zhi)慧宏大(da)(da)深廣(guang),猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)大(da)(da)海;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)提覺悟的(de)(de)(de)(de)高廣(guang)宏大(da)(da),有(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)妙(miao)高山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)自(zi)身顯(xian)發的(de)(de)(de)(de)威嚴之(zhi)光,超過了(le)太陽和月(yue)亮(liang);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)心(xin)境的(de)(de)(de)(de)潔(jie)凈無(wu)(wu)垢,又像那潔(jie)白的(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)雪山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)忍受侮辱的(de)(de)(de)(de)精神(shen),與(yu)(yu)那默默承(cheng)負一切(qie)重荷的(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)地一樣:大(da)(da)地載(zai)物(wu)不(bu)分輕重,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)度人(ren)也(ye)不(bu)分親疏;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)清凈境界,可與(yu)(yu)除(chu)塵洗(xi)垢的(de)(de)(de)(de)清水相(xiang)比:清水溪流(liu)可洗(xi)世(shi)塵,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)清凈可洗(xi)心(xin)塵;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)(zhi)慧熾盛,如(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)火(huo)焰:智(zhi)(zhi)慧之(zhi)火(huo)燒盡煩惱之(zhi)薪柴(chai);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)不(bu)執著的(de)(de)(de)(de)品性如(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)大(da)(da)風:風拂世(shi)界,無(wu)(wu)所(suo)不(bu)到,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)行遍世(shi)界,自(zi)由自(zi)在而(er)(er)無(wu)(wu)所(suo)障(zhang)礙(ai);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)宣講(jiang)傳布的(de)(de)(de)(de)佛(fo)法(fa)大(da)(da)音,加同(tong)雷(lei)聲遠達,震醒了(le)世(shi)間(jian)癡迷而(er)(er)未覺悟之(zhi)人(ren);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)教法(fa)猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)甘露(lu):甘露(lu)滋潤大(da)(da)地萬物(wu),佛(fo)法(fa)滋潤眾(zhong)生(sheng)心(xin)靈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)平等(deng)慈(ci)悲猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)虛空:虛空廣(guang)大(da)(da)無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)無(wu)(wu)際(ji),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)慈(ci)悲也(ye)無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)無(wu)(wu)際(ji)蔭庇眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)品格(ge)猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)白蓮:蓮花不(bu)離污泥(ni)但(dan)又出(chu)污泥(ni)而(er)(er)不(bu)染,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)不(bu)舍眾(zhong)生(sheng),但(dan)身處濁(zhuo)世(shi)穢土而(er)(er)仍然清凈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)尼(ni)枸(gou)樹(shu):尼(ni)枸(gou)樹(shu)寬闊而(er)(er)遮陽蔽日,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷也(ye)能(neng)(neng)蔭庇眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)銳(rui)利猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)金剛杵:金剛杵能(neng)(neng)摧(cui)毀(hui)一切(qie)鎧甲(jia),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)般若妙(miao)智(zhi)(zhi)也(ye)能(neng)(neng)退(tui);切(qie)煩惱魔(mo)軍;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)堅(jian)強猶(you)如(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵(tie)圍山(shan):鐵(tie)圍山(shan)堅(jian)固不(bu)為一切(qie)所(suo)摧(cui),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)的(de)(de)(de)(de)堅(jian)強,也(ye)不(bu)為眾(zhong)魔(mo)外道所(suo)動搖。
極樂世界菩薩(sa)之(zhi)心(xin),方廣平正;順(shun)遂(sui)機宜,巧行權(quan)便,講論佛經從(cong)不生厭,追求佛法(fa)(fa)不知(zhi)疲倦;持戒凈(jing)潔,譬(pi)如琉(liu)璃清徹;心(xin)意行動(dong),光明(ming)磊落,明(ming)鑒表里;菩薩(sa)們所(suo)說之(zhi)法(fa)(fa),使大家(jia)心(xin)悅誠服;法(fa)(fa)音震響,猶(you)如擊鼓(gu);威德摧邪,猶(you)如建法(fa)(fa)之(zhi)幢;智(zhi)(zhi)慧照迷(mi),猶(you)如燦(can)爛太陽。破除(chu)無(wu)明(ming)造(zao)成(cheng)的癡惑,建成(cheng)無(wu)貪無(wu)求的淳靜心(xin)境;其(qi)禪定智(zhi)(zhi)慧溫和,纖毫明(ming)察,能(neng)入實際之(zhi)理體。作為大導(dao)師,調伏抑制自己和他人的不安之(zhi)心(xin)。引導(dao)群生,舍離拋(pao)棄諸多愛(ai)欲物著,永遠離開貪、瞋、癡三種(zhong)污垢,運任游戲(xi)于神通之(zhi)中(zhong)。
極樂(le)世界的(de)(de)(de)菩薩們因為過去(qu)所修(xiu)之(zhi)善的(de)(de)(de)因緣力(li),積(ji)累功(gong)德(de)(de)生(sheng)出(chu)牢不(bu)可破(po)的(de)(de)(de)堅固善心(xin)(xin),摧毀和(he)降伏一切惡(e)魔大(da)軍。尊重待奉諸(zhu)佛;成為照耀世界的(de)(de)(de)明(ming)燈;得世間(jian)(jian)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)供養(yang),成為世間(jian)(jian)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)最好(hao)的(de)(de)(de)福田。菩薩們具有(you)(you)文(wen)殊大(da)士那樣的(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)德(de)(de),堪受一切有(you)(you)情供養(yang)。他們威光顯(xian)赫,神采奕奕,面貌(mao)和(he)悅,內心(xin)(xin)歡喜(xi),雄健(jian)勇(yong)猛,無(wu)畏(wei)無(wu)懼(ju),其音(yin)容(rong)相貌(mao)非同一般,又有(you)(you)無(wu)量的(de)(de)(de)功(gong)德(de)(de)和(he)無(wu)礙(ai)的(de)(de)(de)雄辯(bian)才能(neng)莊嚴其身(shen),如此種種,實在找(zhao)不(bu)到能(neng)與(yu)之(zhi)媲美的(de)(de)(de)了(le)。
“西方極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)的(de)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)們(men)時(shi)時(shi)得到諸(zhu)佛的(de)共同稱贊(zan),他(ta)們(men)探(tan)究完成諸(zhu)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)該修的(de)覺悟,而永遠處(chu)于不生不滅(mie)的(de)涅盤(pan)正定的(de)狀態(tai),在一切道場中(zhong)遍修所有功行,遠遠超離聲聞、緣覺二乘的(de)境界(jie)。阿難!我(wo)現在只是略略提(ti)一下,那極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)中(zhong)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)真實功德(de),大(da)體上(shang)如我(wo)以上(shang)所說(shuo),但若要廣泛(fan)和詳細地介紹,即使說(shuo)上(shang)百千(qian)萬個時(shi)劫也難以說(shuo)完呢!”
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)告彌(mi)勒菩薩、諸天人等:無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)國(guo),聲聞菩薩,功(gong)德(de)智(zhi)慧,不(bu)(bu)可(ke)稱說。又其國(guo)土(tu)微妙安(an)樂(le)(le),清(qing)凈(jing)若(ruo)(ruo)此。何(he)不(bu)(bu)力為善,念(nian)道(dao)(dao)之(zhi)自(zi)然(ran)(ran)。出入(ru)供養,觀經行(xing)道(dao)(dao)。喜樂(le)(le)久習,才猛智(zhi)慧。心不(bu)(bu)中(zhong)回(hui),意(yi)無(wu)(wu)懈(xie)時。外若(ruo)(ruo)遲緩,內獨駛急。容容虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),適得(de)其中(zhong)。中(zhong)表相(xiang)應,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)嚴整。檢斂端直,身心潔凈(jing)。無(wu)(wu)有愛(ai)貪,志愿安(an)定。無(wu)(wu)增缺減,求道(dao)(dao)和(he)正。不(bu)(bu)誤傾邪,隨經約令。不(bu)(bu)敢蹉跌,若(ruo)(ruo)于繩墨。咸為道(dao)(dao)慕,曠(kuang)無(wu)(wu)他念(nian)。無(wu)(wu)有憂思(si),自(zi)然(ran)(ran)無(wu)(wu)為。虛(xu)(xu)空(kong)無(wu)(wu)立,淡安(an)無(wu)(wu)欲。作得(de)善愿,盡(jin)心求索。含哀慈愍,禮(li)義都合。苞羅表里,過度解脫。自(zi)然(ran)(ran)保守,真真潔白。志愿無(wu)(wu)上,凈(jing)定安(an)樂(le)(le)。一(yi)旦開達明徹,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)中(zhong)自(zi)然(ran)(ran)相(xiang),自(zi)然(ran)(ran)之(zhi)有根本,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)光(guang)色參回(hui),轉(zhuan)變最勝。郁單成七寶,橫(heng)攬成萬物。光(guang)精(jing)(jing)明俱出,善好殊(shu)無(wu)(wu)比。著于無(wu)(wu)上下(xia),洞達無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)際。宜各勤(qin)(qin)精(jing)(jing)進,努(nu)力自(zi)求之(zhi)。必得(de)超絕(jue)去,往(wang)生(sheng)無(wu)(wu)量清(qing)凈(jing)阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)。橫(heng)截于五趣,惡道(dao)(dao)自(zi)閉(bi)塞。無(wu)(wu)極(ji)(ji)之(zhi)勝道(dao)(dao),易往(wang)而無(wu)(wu)人。其國(guo)不(bu)(bu)逆(ni)違,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)所(suo)牽隨。捐(juan)志若(ruo)(ruo)虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),勤(qin)(qin)行(xing)求道(dao)(dao)德(de)。可(ke)得(de)極(ji)(ji)長生(sheng),壽(shou)樂(le)(le)無(wu)(wu)有極(ji)(ji)。何(he)為著世事(shi),譊譊憂無(wu)(wu)常。
【譯文】釋(shi)加牟尼佛又轉而對彌勒(le)菩薩和諸在座的天人(ren)等說道:“無(wu)量壽佛國(guo)中的聲聞、菩薩功(gong)德(de)智慧無(wu)量,是沒有辦法表述得清(qing)的。還有,其國(guo)土(tu)如此微妙,安(an)樂和清(qing)凈,你們為什(shen)么不勉力行(xing)善,又以所積(ji)累的善功(gong)德(de)回向凈土(tu),自(zi)然生(sheng)(sheng)發往生(sheng)(sheng)凈土(tu)之(zhi)念,由念引導而往生(sheng)(sheng)極(ji)樂世界呢?
“極樂世界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)菩薩、聲(sheng)(sheng)聞等會(hui)(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong),出入(ru)于十方世界(jie)(jie)供養諸佛,閱讀(du)藏經,修行佛事,皆樂于長(chang)久如此。他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)才能(neng)(neng)超世,智慧(hui)圓(yuan)融(rong),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)退(tui)轉(zhuan)的(de)(de)念頭(tou),意志(zhi)(zhi)沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)片刻懈怠放(fang)逸;外(wai)表(biao)(biao)看去安(an)(an)閑沉(chen)穩,內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)卻(que)急速地精進不已。心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)同于虛(xu)空(kong)(kong),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)一物(wu)而(er)又能(neng)(neng)容(rong)下萬物(wu),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)(bian)際(ji)而(er)又能(neng)(neng)建立凈土,非空(kong)(kong)非有(you)(you),適(shi)得(de)不落(luo)兩(liang)邊(bian)(bian)的(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)道。聲(sheng)(sheng)聞、菩薩們(men)(men)適(shi)得(de)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)道之內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),顯(xian)示在表(biao)(biao)情上,表(biao)(biao)里相映(ying)煥然(ran)(ran)成輝,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)而(er)又嚴(yan)整;檢束身體的(de)(de)姿態表(biao)(biao)情,收斂心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)思維意念;外(wai)表(biao)(biao)端(duan)莊(zhuang),內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)正(zheng)(zheng)直,身心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)潔(jie)凈,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)愛(ai)欲貪染(ran);他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)志(zhi)(zhi)向誓愿(yuan),堅定不移而(er)無(wu)些(xie)(xie)微缺減;他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)所追求的(de)(de)大道,平和中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)正(zheng)(zheng),永(yong)不會(hui)(hui)誤入(ru)狹路以(yi)至邪道;他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)隨(sui)順經中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)言和戒律,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)覺接(jie)受約束規(gui)定,不敢放(fang)逸而(er)失足(zu)逾(yu)界(jie)(jie),有(you)(you)如木工操作(zuo)遵循墨線,循規(gui)蹈矩;他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)所企慕,皆是(shi)正(zheng)(zheng)真(zhen)至道,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)其他(ta)(ta)(ta)妄念雜念拂亂,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)什么憂慮之思干擾;他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)安(an)(an)住于無(wu)為(wei)法(fa)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)志(zhi)(zhi)有(you)(you)如虛(xu)空(kong)(kong)無(wu)有(you)(you)一物(wu),淡泊(bo)安(an)(an)寧不染(ran)物(wu)欲;以(yi)此結成大愿(yuan),盡心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)盡力地前去求索。再者(zhe),這(zhe)些(xie)(xie)極樂世界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)會(hui)(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)懷(huai)慈悲(bei)哀(ai)憫,契(qi)合世間道德,融(rong)洽現(xian)象(xiang)本質(zhi),自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)度度他(ta)(ta)(ta),均得(de)解脫生(sheng)死。他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)任運自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran),保守本來善性(xing)潔(jie)白無(wu)染(ran),志(zhi)(zhi)向愿(yuan)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)甚(shen)為(wei)高尚,住于寂定而(er)安(an)(an)然(ran)(ran)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)適(shi),日積月累,便能(neng)(neng)在一旦之中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)毫不勉強(qiang)地契(qi)合自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)實相,把握根本的(de)(de)道理(li)。這(zhe)些(xie)(xie)聲(sheng)(sheng)聞、菩薩之心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)如同神奇(qi)珍寶(bao)(bao),自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)之光和自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)之色相互滲(shen)入(ru)、回轉(zhuan)變化,超過十方的(de)(de)眾(zhong)(zhong)寶(bao)(bao)。北(bei)方大洲自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)生(sheng)出七寶(bao)(bao),橫空(kong)(kong)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)涌現(xian)出萬物(wu),光明、精妙、明凈齊顯(xian)并現(xian),諸善眾(zhong)(zhong)好,無(wu)與倫比,皆由極樂世界(jie)(jie)會(hui)(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)凈心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng)出。他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)智慧(hui)明證理(li)體無(wu)有(you)(you)高下,洞達事相沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)(bian)際(ji)。”
釋迦(jia)牟尼佛介紹極(ji)(ji)樂世界人眾的(de)功德智(zhi)慧,又為喚(huan)醒法(fa)(fa)會大眾說:“你們應各自(zi)精進勤修,努力自(zi)求真如(ru)(ru)本心,必(bi)得(de)超脫輪(lun)回,斷除生(sheng)死,往(wang)生(sheng)到(dao)無(wu)(wu)量清凈(jing)的(de)阿彌(mi)陀佛凈(jing)土(tu)(tu)。到(dao)那時,頓舍娑婆世界五道輪(lun)回,諸(zhu)多惡(e)道之門(men)(men)自(zi)然關閉;這(zhe)凈(jing)土(tu)(tu)法(fa)(fa)門(men)(men)是最勝(sheng)之道,雖然易得(de)往(wang)生(sheng),可穢土(tu)(tu)修行的(de)人卻很少(shao)。十方無(wu)(wu)窮(qiong)極(ji)(ji)的(de)眾生(sheng)得(de)益于佛國毫無(wu)(wu)逆違往(wang)生(sheng)的(de)性(xing)質(zhi)(另(ling)一解釋:西方凈(jing)土(tu)(tu)敞開大門(men)(men),攝受接納(na)十方一切眾生(sheng),然而,娑婆眾生(sheng)久在煩(fan)惱(nao)纏縛之中,貪戀世樂,不生(sheng)厭離,陷于自(zi)身(shen)結構性(xing)的(de)困境(jing),焉得(de)往(wang)生(sheng)?)。大家(jia)捐除煩(fan)惱(nao),其志應如(ru)(ru)虛(xu)空(kong),凈(jing)無(wu)(wu)垢染,勤奮修行,進道增德,便可以在凈(jing)土(tu)(tu)獲得(de)長生(sheng)不老,和(he)極(ji)(ji)樂世界人眾一樣(yang)長壽安樂,生(sheng)命(ming)無(wu)(wu)有極(ji)(ji)限。既如(ru)(ru)此,為什么還要貪著世間俗(su)(su)事俗(su)(su)利,沒(mei)完沒(mei)了地(di)憂慮,為世間無(wu)(wu)常所折磨呢?”
【原文】世(shi)人(ren)共爭不急之(zhi)務,于此劇惡極苦之(zhi)中,勤身營務,以自給濟。尊(zun)卑、貧富、少長、男女,累念積(ji)慮,為心走(zou)使。無(wu)田(tian)憂田(tian),無(wu)宅憂宅,眷屬財物,有(you)無(wu)同(tong)憂。有(you)一少一,思欲齊等,適小具有(you),又憂非常。水火盜賊,怨家債主,焚漂劫奪,消(xiao)散磨滅。心慳(qian)意(yi)固(gu),無(wu)能(neng)縱舍。
命終棄捐(juan),莫誰隨者。貧(pin)富(fu)同(tong)然,憂苦(ku)萬端。
世(shi)間人(ren)民,父子兄弟夫婦(fu)親屬(shu),當(dang)相(xiang)敬愛,無(wu)相(xiang)憎嫉。有無(wu)相(xiang)通(tong),無(wu)得(de)貪(tan)惜(xi)。言(yan)色(se)常和,莫(mo)相(xiang)違戾。或時心諍,有所恚怒(nu)。后世(shi)轉劇,至成大怨。世(shi)間之(zhi)事(shi),更相(xiang)患害,雖不(bu)臨時,應急(ji)想(xiang)破。
人在愛(ai)欲之中,獨生獨死,獨去獨來(lai),苦樂自當,無有代者。善惡(e)變化,追(zhui)逐(zhu)所生,道路不同,會見無期(qi)。何不于強(qiang)健時,努力修善,欲何待乎?
世人(ren)善惡自不(bu)能見(jian),吉兇禍福,競各作(zuo)之。身愚(yu)神暗,轉受余教(jiao)。顛倒相續(xu),無常根本。蒙冥抵突,不(bu)信經法。心(xin)無遠慮,各欲(yu)快(kuai)意。迷于瞋恚,貪于財色。終不(bu)休止,哀哉可傷(shang)!先(xian)人(ren)不(bu)善,不(bu)識道德(de),無有語者,殊無怪也。
死生之趣,善惡之道,都(dou)不之信,謂無有(you)(you)是。更(geng)相(xiang)瞻視,且自見(jian)之。或父哭子,或子哭父,兄弟夫婦,更(geng)相(xiang)哭泣(qi)。一死一生,迭相(xiang)顧戀。憂(you)愛結縛,無有(you)(you)解時。思想恩(en)好,不離(li)情欲。不能(neng)深思熟計,專(zhuan)精行道。年(nian)壽旋盡,無可奈何。
惑道者眾(zhong),悟道者少(shao)。各懷殺毒,惡氣冥(ming)冥(ming)。為妄(wang)興事(shi),違(wei)逆天地。恣意罪極(ji),頓奪其(qi)壽。下(xia)入惡道,無有(you)出期。
若曹當(dang)(dang)熟(shu)思計(ji),遠離眾惡。擇(ze)其(qi)善(shan)者,勤而行之。愛欲(yu)榮華,不可(ke)常保(bao),皆當(dang)(dang)別離,無可(ke)樂者。當(dang)(dang)勤精進(jin),生安樂國(guo)。智慧明達,功德殊勝。勿得(de)隨心所欲(yu),虧負經戒,在人后也。
【譯文】“世(shi)間(jian)的(de)(de)(de)人們都在(zai)計較(jiao)那瑣細無益的(de)(de)(de)世(shi)利俗(su)務(wu),在(zai)此苦痛不堪(kan)的(de)(de)(de)五(wu)惡世(shi)間(jian),辛勤勞作,經營生計,以求自給,于苦中(zhong)求快樂;世(shi)間(jian)蕓蕓眾(zhong)生中(zhong),無論大人物或(huo)(huo)小人物,富人或(huo)(huo)窮人,少年或(huo)(huo)老人,男(nan)人或(huo)(huo)女(nv)(nv)人,種種一(yi)切之(zhi)人,都因為貪(tan)欲(yu)之(zhi)念長(chang)期(qi)累積(ji),處心(xin)(xin)(xin)積(ji)慮只求一(yi)快,其實(shi)貪(tan)欲(yu)之(zhi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)不過導致奔波(bo)勞碌(liu)。沒有(you)(you)田地的(de)(de)(de)想(xiang)要得(de)田地,沒有(you)(you)房(fang)(fang)屋(wu)的(de)(de)(de)想(xiang)要得(de)房(fang)(fang)屋(wu),沒有(you)(you)家眷(juan)、親屬、妻室兒女(nv)(nv)以及沒有(you)(you)財物、產業、珍寶、器物的(de)(de)(de),也(ye)都處心(xin)(xin)(xin)積(ji)慮,盤(pan)算鉆營,必欲(yu)據有(you)(you)而后心(xin)(xin)(xin)安(an)。沒有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人有(you)(you)所憂苦,已(yi)有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人也(ye)不得(de)安(an)逸。有(you)(you)一(yi)些財物反而欲(yu)海(hai)難填(tian),希望(wang)再多得(de)一(yi)星半點。有(you)(you)了(le)一(yi)件的(de)(de)(de)覺(jue)(jue)得(de)一(yi)件太少,有(you)(you)了(le)兩(liang)件的(de)(de)(de)又覺(jue)(jue)得(de)兩(liang)件還少,欲(yu)望(wang)和獲取,總是相(xiang)(xiang)逐相(xiang)(xiang)長(chang),沒有(you)(you)止境。才達(da)到小有(you)(you)資產,旋即(ji)擔(dan)心(xin)(xin)(xin)遭遇損(sun)失(shi);害怕(pa)火(huo)災(zai)焚燒,害怕(pa)水災(zai)流漂,害怕(pa)盜賊偷竊,害怕(pa)土匪劫奪,害怕(pa)冤(yuan)家仇殺,害怕(pa)債(zhai)主催逼。憂懼之(zhi)中(zhong),清凈本(ben)心(xin)(xin)(xin)在(zai)此消(xiao)散磨滅。慳吝(lin)之(zhi)心(xin)(xin)(xin),反倒越來越頑固,煩惱纏(chan)縛,在(zai)泥坑中(zhong)越陷越深。
“世間(jian)(jian)一(yi)切人命(ming)終(zhong)之時,不(bu)管你有多少(shao)眷屬,積存了多少(shao)財(cai)寶(bao),全部要舍離拋棄(qi)。你所鐘愛的物也(ye)罷,人也(ye)罷,都不(bu)會隨你去那(nei)另一(yi)世間(jian)(jian);即(ji)或去到(dao)另一(yi)世間(jian)(jian)也(ye)不(bu)能同你在一(yi)起。富人和窮人,在此(ci)陰間(jian)(jian)地下也(ye)都平等無差,個中憂苦,萬端無盡。
“世間(jian)的人民——父子、兄(xiong)弟、夫婦、親屬(shu),應當(dang)(dang)相(xiang)(xiang)互(hu)尊敬(jing)友愛,不(bu)要相(xiang)(xiang)互(hu)憎恨(hen)(hen)與嫉妒(du);應當(dang)(dang)互(hu)相(xiang)(xiang)幫助救護(hu),有(you)(you)什么(me)財物要互(hu)相(xiang)(xiang)周濟,不(bu)要貪(tan)圖吝惜(xi);應當(dang)(dang)說話和(he)氣,和(he)顏悅色,互(hu)尊互(hu)敬(jing),不(bu)要背(bei)逆斗狠(hen);一(yi)時(shi)生起爭訟(song)之心(xin),心(xin)里不(bu)免嗔恚忿(fen)怒,惡意愈(yu)演愈(yu)烈,最終結成大恨(hen)(hen)深(shen)仇;世間(jian)若冤冤相(xiang)(xiang)報(bao),更(geng)會(hui)結成丈冤大孽,兩家相(xiang)(xiang)爭,雙方都招禍害;即(ji)令有(you)(you)時(shi)報(bao)應沒有(you)(you)立(li)即(ji)顯現,還(huan)以為自己占了(le)上(shang)風(feng),但因(yin)果(guo)相(xiang)(xiang)生,從來不(bu)爽,惡報(bao)只是時(shi)間(jian)問題。眾生應當(dang)(dang)想透這個道理(li)而立(li)即(ji)破除恚恨(hen)(hen),棄(qi)惡向善。
“人(ren)(ren)沉溺在情愛貪欲之(zhi)中,獨身而來(lai)(lai),孤獨而死,生(sheng)無人(ren)(ren)相(xiang)隨,死無人(ren)(ren)陪(pei)伴,苦(ku)樂(le)之(zhi)果報(bao),都(dou)是自作(zuo)自受,沒(mei)有(you)誰能代替,也無人(ren)(ren)可以除免。善(shan)與惡(e)的循環(huan)果報(bao)千(qian)變萬化,追從相(xiang)隨,直到來(lai)(lai)生(sheng)來(lai)(lai)世。雖是親眷(juan)家屬,善(shan)有(you)善(shan)報(bao),惡(e)有(you)惡(e)報(bao),善(shan)生(sheng)善(shan)趣(qu),惡(e)降(jiang)惡(e)道,若積業有(you)差,生(sheng)處也就不同,到那時便無從會(hui)見,何不趁此強健在世之(zhi)時,努力修(xiu)行(xing)善(shan)道,還將等到什么時候(hou)?
“世(shi)(shi)間之(zhi)人(ren)因為(wei)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能夠認識(shi)什(shen)么是(shi)善,什(shen)么是(shi)惡,各以(yi)自己(ji)的愚(yu)(yu)(yu)癡(chi)(chi),妄加(jia)分別猜測吉兇禍福(fu),競相(xiang)造作(zuo)惡業(ye),身作(zuo)愚(yu)(yu)(yu)行,頭腦(nao)中一(yi)(yi)片黑暗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)受(shou)經法(fa),反(fan)而接受(shou)其他的外道邪說。如是(shi)的顛倒之(zhi)見(jian),相(xiang)續不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕,成為(wei)生死無(wu)常輪回的根本動(dong)力,這就像蒙上眼睛什(shen)么也看不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian),卻(que)一(yi)(yi)味胡沖亂(luan)闖(chuang)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)受(shou)佛(fo)教經法(fa),心(xin)便沒(mei)有(you)遠(yuan)慮(lv),一(yi)(yi)心(xin)追求于現世(shi)(shi)之(zhi)樂(le);癡(chi)(chi)迷于瞋恚忿(fen)怒而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自覺,貪吝(lin)財(cai)物女(nv)色而以(yi)為(wei)欣然。肆無(wu)忌(ji)憚,沒(mei)有(you)終了(le)(le)之(zhi)時,真正悲哀,實在可(ke)憐!上輩愚(yu)(yu)(yu)癡(chi)(chi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)(zhi)佛(fo)道,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂道德,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)對后輩進行教導,世(shi)(shi)代惡業(ye)相(xiang)襲,癡(chi)(chi)頑無(wu)知(zhi)(zhi),世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)作(zuo)惡受(shou)報,就沒(mei)有(you)什(shen)么可(ke)奇(qi)怪的了(le)(le)。
“世間(jian)之人(ren),對生(sheng)死(si)輪回于六(liu)道,前(qian)生(sheng)積(ji)善,下(xia)世得善,前(qian)生(sheng)積(ji)惡(e),下(xia)世得惡(e)的(de)(de)規律(lv),不(bu)能(neng)相信奉(feng)受,以為(wei)并沒有因果報(bao)應。更有甚者(zhe),看到別人(ren)死(si)了袖手(shou)旁觀,無動于衷,殊不(bu)知生(sheng)死(si)之事遲早必然要(yao)落到自己頭上。父子、兄弟、夫(fu)婦等親(qin)屬死(si)別之時,相互(hu)哭泣。相愛(ai)(ai)的(de)(de)人(ren)生(sheng)離死(si)別,一(yi)次(ci)次(ci)地(di)戀顧難分,恩(en)愛(ai)(ai)轉化為(wei)憂(you)苦,如結(jie)繩自相束縛(fu),哪(na)里(li)還(huan)有解(jie)脫的(de)(de)時候?思(si)(si)想生(sheng)前(qian)的(de)(de)恩(en)恩(en)愛(ai)(ai)愛(ai)(ai),考慮親(qin)善友誼,無不(bu)是情欲所支配。不(bu)能(neng)深(shen)思(si)(si)熟(shu)慮而專心精勤地(di)修(xiu)行佛道,人(ren)生(sheng)苦短,年壽一(yi)期,轉瞬即(ji)盡,衰老(lao)來臨,則一(yi)籌莫展,徒感無可奈何!
“世間(jian)(jian)對佛法不(bu)理解而迷惑的(de)人(ren)多,醒悟(wu)得道的(de)人(ren)少,各人(ren)心懷殘傷他(ta)人(ren)的(de)心念,惡氣(qi)冥冥昏暗,如是造(zao)惡之人(ren)由妄心興起各種事(shi)端,違背天命(ming),不(bu)顧人(ren)意(yi),恣意(yi)作惡,惡貫(guan)滿(man)盈(ying),頓時之間(jian)(jian)便會奪去(qu)陽壽(shou),下(xia)墮于地獄、餓鬼、畜生惡道,永無出(chu)頭之期。
“你(ni)們應當深思熟慮,遠(yuan)遠(yuan)脫離各種惡業,選(xuan)擇善事,勤苦(ku)(ku)地修行之。富貴榮(rong)華不可能(neng)長(chang)久保(bao)持(chi),到時候都將離你(ni)而去。富貴榮(rong)華其實也都是‘苦(ku)(ku)’,沒有(you)什(shen)么(me)可稱為‘樂(le)’的。你(ni)們應當勤奮精進,求生西方(fang)(fang)極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)。得生西方(fang)(fang)極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie),則智慧(hui)明(ming)了通達,功德最大。千(qian)萬不要隨(sui)心所(suo)欲,虧負于經教戒行,落在他(ta)人(ren)之后。”
【原文】彌勒白言(yan):佛(fo)(fo)語教(jiao)戒,甚深(shen)甚善(shan)。皆蒙慈(ci)恩,解脫憂苦(ku)。佛(fo)(fo)為(wei)法王,尊超(chao)群圣,光(guang)明(ming)(ming)徹照,洞達無(wu)(wu)極(ji)(ji),普為(wei)一切天人之(zhi)師。今得(de)值佛(fo)(fo),復聞(wen)無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)聲,靡(mi)不歡喜,心(xin)得(de)開明(ming)(ming)。佛(fo)(fo)告彌勒:敬于(yu)佛(fo)(fo)者(zhe),是為(wei)大善(shan)。實當(dang)(dang)念佛(fo)(fo),截斷狐疑。拔諸愛欲,杜眾惡源。游步三界,無(wu)(wu)所(suo)罣礙。開示正道(dao),度未度者(zhe)。若曹(cao)當(dang)(dang)知(zhi)十方人民,永劫以(yi)來(lai),輾轉五道(dao),憂苦(ku)不絕(jue)。生(sheng)(sheng)時苦(ku)痛(tong),老亦苦(ku)痛(tong),病極(ji)(ji)苦(ku)痛(tong),死極(ji)(ji)苦(ku)痛(tong)。惡臭不凈,無(wu)(wu)可(ke)樂者(zhe)。宜(yi)自(zi)(zi)決斷,洗除心(xin)垢。言(yan)行(xing)忠信,表里相應(ying)。人能自(zi)(zi)度,轉相拯濟。至(zhi)心(xin)求(qiu)愿(yuan),積累善(shan)本。雖一世精(jing)進(jin)勤苦(ku),須臾(yu)間耳。后生(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)國(guo),快樂無(wu)(wu)極(ji)(ji)。永拔生(sheng)(sheng)死之(zhi)本,無(wu)(wu)復苦(ku)惱之(zhi)患(huan)。壽(shou)千萬(wan)劫,自(zi)(zi)在隨意。宜(yi)各精(jing)進(jin),求(qiu)心(xin)所(suo)愿(yuan)。無(wu)(wu)得(de)疑悔,自(zi)(zi)為(wei)過咎(jiu),生(sheng)(sheng)彼邊地七寶城中(zhong),于(yu)五百(bai)歲受諸厄也(ye)。彌勒白言(yan):受佛(fo)(fo)明(ming)(ming)誨,專精(jing)修學。如教(jiao)奉行(xing),不敢(gan)有疑。
【譯文】彌勒菩薩于是(shi)說(shuo):“佛(fo)(fo)說(shuo)了教人修善(shan)的法(fa)義,非常(chang)深刻非常(chang)善(shan)妙。我(wo)等會眾都(dou)蒙(meng)佛(fo)(fo)慈(ci)悲(bei)之(zhi)恩,得(de)聞(wen)要(yao)津,以(yi)解脫于生死憂苦(ku)。佛(fo)(fo)為(wei)法(fa)王,超過諸(zhu)天圣人而為(wei)至尊,佛(fo)(fo)所說(shuo)之(zhi)法(fa)如同光明(ming),澈照十方,洞達無窮。佛(fo)(fo)是(shi)所有有緣眾生的導師。現(xian)在得(de)以(yi)在這(zhe)里見到佛(fo)(fo)并聽聞(wen)說(shuo)法(fa),實在難得(de),更難得(de)的是(shi)聽聞(wen)到有關(guan)無量(liang)壽佛(fo)(fo)的聲音,大家沒有一個不歡欣鼓舞的,我(wo)們的心因此得(de)以(yi)澈悟(wu)而明(ming)了真諦。”
釋迦(jia)牟尼佛告誨彌勒:“恭敬于(yu)佛的(de)(de)人,他是有大(da)善之(zhi)(zhi)人,應當實(shi)實(shi)際(ji)際(ji)地念(nian)佛,截斷(duan)狐(hu)疑猜忌(ji),拔除(chu)各種(zhong)愛欲,杜絕(jue)各種(zhong)惡(e)意惡(e)念(nian)的(de)(de)源頭,雖然奔走于(yu)三界(jie)世間穢(hui)土,卻無所(suo)牽(qian)掛,無所(suo)障礙,向(xiang)眾(zhong)生開(kai)示講演佛法正(zheng)道,度化還(huan)未得度化的(de)(de)有情眾(zhong)生。你們應當知道,十方世界(jie)的(de)(de)人民,從無比久遠以來,反復輾轉、輪回于(yu)天、人、畜生、餓鬼和地獄五道,沉淪生死(si),憂苦不(bu)絕(jue)。誕(dan)生之(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)有‘生苦’之(zhi)(zhi)痛,壽(shou)終之(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)有‘死(si)苦’之(zhi)(zhi)痛,身(shen)體(ti)臭惡(e)而不(bu)清凈,沒(mei)有什么可稱(cheng)為‘快樂’的(de)(de)。應自(zi)下決心,斷(duan)絕(jue)惡(e)因,洗(xi)濯心中的(de)(de)污垢,如(ru)言而行(xing),如(ru)行(xing)而言,表里如(ru)一,誠實(shi)無欺(qi)。
“洗(xi)除(chu)了污垢(gou)而(er)表里(li)如一(yi)(yi)的人,能夠自行度(du)(du)(du)脫,由(you)自度(du)(du)(du)轉而(er)拯救濟度(du)(du)(du)他人。一(yi)(yi)心(xin)求(qiu)取往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西方極(ji)樂(le)凈土的大愿,稱名(ming)念佛,積累善本(ben)。雖一(yi)(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)(yi)世(shi)精進修(xiu)行十分(fen)勤苦(ku),但(dan)這(zhe)一(yi)(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)苦(ku),較(jiao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)一(yi)(yi)個人的生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)世(shi)世(shi),只猶如片刻之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間。此生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)勤苦(ku),使后(hou)世(shi)得(de)以(yi)往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無量壽國,享受無窮(qiong)無盡(jin)的快(kuai)樂(le),拔除(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死根本(ben)惡因,遠(yuan)離苦(ku)病(bing)煩惱之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)患,壽命長達千萬時劫,自在神通而(er)諸(zhu)事隨(sui)心(xin)所欲(yu)。”
釋迦牟(mou)尼(ni)佛(fo)復(fu)喻眾生:“你們應各自(zi)精進(jin)專修(xiu),把往生凈土(tu)的愿望切實地變(bian)為(wei)行(xing)動。不要疑惑,不要中途反悔(hui),以(yi)(yi)免錯過時機,造(zao)成錯誤罪行(xing),以(yi)(yi)至往生時到了西方(fang)極樂凈土(tu)的邊(bian)地之國,在懷疑佛(fo)智的眾生聚集(ji)的七寶(bao)獄中,于五(wu)百(bai)年的時間內(nei),不得(de)(de)見佛(fo)、法、僧三寶(bao),不得(de)(de)聞(wen)諸經佛(fo)法,受(shou)諸不幸處(chu)罰(fa)。”
彌(mi)勒菩薩領(ling)受佛(fo)(fo)旨(zhi),乃向佛(fo)(fo)言:“今(jin)天我們承(cheng)受了佛(fo)(fo)明白(bai)完(wan)備(bei)的(de)教(jiao)誨,我等當(dang)專(zhuan)一修(xiu)行,精進學習,按佛(fo)(fo)的(de)教(jiao)導(dao)誠心(xin)奉行,不敢(gan)生(sheng)出半點疑惑。”
【原文】佛(fo)告彌勒(le):汝等能(neng)于(yu)此世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),端(duan)心(xin)(xin)(xin)正(zheng)(zheng)意(yi)(yi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e),甚為(wei)大(da)德(de)。所(suo)以者何(he)?十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界,善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)多惡(e)(e)(e)(e)少,易可(ke)開化(hua)。唯此五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian),最為(wei)劇苦(ku)。我今(jin)于(yu)此作(zuo)佛(fo),教(jiao)化(hua)群生(sheng)(sheng),令舍五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e),去五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong),離(li)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,降(jiang)化(hua)其(qi)(qi)意(yi)(yi),令持五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),獲其(qi)(qi)福(fu)(fu)德(de)。何(he)等為(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)?其(qi)(qi)一(yi)者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)諸眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)類,欲(yu)(yu)(yu)為(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)。強(qiang)者伏弱,轉(zhuan)(zhuan)相(xiang)(xiang)克賊(zei),殘害殺傷,迭相(xiang)(xiang)吞啖,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),后(hou)受(shou)(shou)殃(yang)罰。故有(you)窮乞、孤獨(du)(du)、聾盲、喑啞、癡惡(e)(e)(e)(e)、尪狂,皆因前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)德(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。其(qi)(qi)有(you)尊貴(gui)、豪富、賢明(ming)、長(chang)者、智勇、才(cai)達,皆由宿世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)慈孝(xiao),修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)積德(de)所(suo)致。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)有(you)此目前(qian)(qian)現(xian)事,壽終(zhong)(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)后(hou),入(ru)其(qi)(qi)幽冥。轉(zhuan)(zhuan)生(sheng)(sheng)受(shou)(shou)身(shen)(shen)(shen),改(gai)形(xing)易道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)。故有(you)泥(ni)(ni)犁、禽獸、蜎飛蠕動之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)屬。譬如(ru)(ru)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)法(fa)牢獄,劇苦(ku)極(ji)(ji)刑,魂神(shen)命(ming)(ming)精,隨罪趣向。所(suo)受(shou)(shou)壽命(ming)(ming),或(huo)長(chang)或(huo)短,相(xiang)(xiang)從(cong)(cong)共(gong)生(sheng)(sheng),更相(xiang)(xiang)報償(chang)。殃(yang)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)未盡(jin),終(zhong)(zhong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得離(li)。輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),累劫(jie)(jie)難(nan)(nan)出。難(nan)(nan)得解脫,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)。天地之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間(jian),自(zi)(zi)然有(you)是。雖(sui)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時(shi)暴應,善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)會(hui)當(dang)歸(gui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。其(qi)(qi)二者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順法(fa)度。奢淫(yin)驕縱(zong),任心(xin)(xin)(xin)自(zi)(zi)恣(zi)。居上不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),在(zai)位(wei)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正(zheng)(zheng)。陷(xian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)冤枉,損(sun)害忠良。心(xin)(xin)(xin)口各異,機偽多端(duan)。尊卑中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)外,更相(xiang)(xiang)欺誑(kuang)。瞋(chen)恚(hui)愚癡,欲(yu)(yu)(yu)自(zi)(zi)厚(hou)己,欲(yu)(yu)(yu)貪多有(you)。利害勝負,結忿成仇(chou)。破(po)家(jia)亡身(shen)(shen)(shen),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前(qian)(qian)后(hou)。富有(you)慳惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)施與。愛(ai)保貪重,心(xin)(xin)(xin)勞身(shen)(shen)(shen)苦(ku)。如(ru)(ru)是至(zhi)竟,無(wu)(wu)一(yi)隨者。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)禍福(fu)(fu),追命(ming)(ming)所(suo)生(sheng)(sheng)。或(huo)在(zai)樂(le)處(chu),或(huo)入(ru)苦(ku)毒(du)。又或(huo)見善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)憎(zeng)(zeng)謗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思慕(mu)及。常(chang)懷(huai)盜心(xin)(xin)(xin),悕望他利。用自(zi)(zi)供給(gei),消散復取(qu)。神(shen)明(ming)克識,終(zhong)(zhong)入(ru)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)。自(zi)(zi)有(you)三(san)途無(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱(nao)(nao),輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),累劫(jie)(jie)難(nan)(nan)出,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)三(san)者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民相(xiang)(xiang)因寄(ji)生(sheng)(sheng),壽命(ming)(ming)幾何(he)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)良之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正(zheng)(zheng)。常(chang)懷(huai)邪(xie)惡(e)(e)(e)(e),常(chang)念淫(yin)欲(yu)(yu)(yu)。煩滿(man)胸中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),邪(xie)態外逸。費損(sun)家(jia)財(cai),事為(wei)非法(fa)。所(suo)當(dang)求者,而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)為(wei)。又或(huo)交(jiao)(jiao)結聚(ju)會(hui),興(xing)兵相(xiang)(xiang)伐(fa)。攻(gong)劫(jie)(jie)殺戮,強(qiang)奪(duo)迫脅。歸(gui)給(gei)妻(qi)子(zi),極(ji)(ji)身(shen)(shen)(shen)作(zuo)樂(le)。眾(zhong)共(gong)憎(zeng)(zeng)厭,患而苦(ku)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。如(ru)(ru)是之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)惡(e)(e)(e)(e),著于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)鬼。神(shen)明(ming)記(ji)識,自(zi)(zi)入(ru)三(san)途。無(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱(nao)(nao),輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)。累劫(jie)(jie)難(nan)(nan)出,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)四者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)念修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。兩(liang)舌、惡(e)(e)(e)(e)口、妄言(yan)(yan)、綺語(yu)。憎(zeng)(zeng)嫉(ji)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),敗壞賢明(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)孝(xiao)父母(mu)(mu),輕(qing)慢(man)師長(chang)。朋友(you)無(wu)(wu)信(xin)(xin),難(nan)(nan)得誠(cheng)實。尊貴(gui)自(zi)(zi)大(da),謂(wei)己有(you)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)。橫(heng)行威勢,侵(qin)易于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。欲(yu)(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)畏敬,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自(zi)(zi)慚懼(ju)。難(nan)(nan)可(ke)降(jiang)化(hua),常(chang)懷(huai)驕慢(man)。賴其(qi)(qi)前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),福(fu)(fu)德(de)營護(hu)。今(jin)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)為(wei)惡(e)(e)(e)(e),福(fu)(fu)德(de)盡(jin)滅(mie)。壽命(ming)(ming)終(zhong)(zhong)盡(jin),諸惡(e)(e)(e)(e)繞(rao)歸(gui)。又其(qi)(qi)名籍,記(ji)在(zai)神(shen)明(ming)。殃(yang)咎牽引,無(wu)(wu)從(cong)(cong)舍離(li)。但得前(qian)(qian)行,入(ru)于(yu)火鑊。身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)(xin)摧碎,神(shen)形(xing)苦(ku)極(ji)(ji)。當(dang)斯之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi),悔復何(he)及。其(qi)(qi)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民徙倚懈怠。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)作(zuo)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),治身(shen)(shen)(shen)修(xiu)業。父母(mu)(mu)教(jiao)誨,違戾反逆。譬如(ru)(ru)怨家(jia),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)(ru)無(wu)(wu)子(zi)。負恩(en)違義,無(wu)(wu)有(you)報償(chang)。放恣(zi)游(you)散,耽(dan)酒嗜美(mei)。魯扈抵突,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)識人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)情。無(wu)(wu)義無(wu)(wu)禮,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)諫曉。六親眷屬,資用有(you)無(wu)(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)憂念。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)惟父母(mu)(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)存師友(you)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)義。意(yi)(yi)念身(shen)(shen)(shen)口,曾無(wu)(wu)一(yi)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)諸佛(fo)經法(fa),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)。欲(yu)(yu)(yu)害真(zhen)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),斗亂僧(seng)眾(zhong)。愚癡蒙昧,自(zi)(zi)為(wei)智慧。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)生(sheng)(sheng)所(suo)從(cong)(cong)來(lai),死(si)所(suo)趣向。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)仁不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順,希望長(chang)生(sheng)(sheng)。慈心(xin)(xin)(xin)教(jiao)誨,而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)信(xin)(xin)。苦(ku)口與語(yu),無(wu)(wu)益其(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。心(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)閉塞,意(yi)(yi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開解。大(da)命(ming)(ming)將(jiang)終(zhong)(zhong),悔懼(ju)交(jiao)(jiao)至(zhi)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),臨時(shi)乃悔。悔之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)于(yu)后(hou),將(jiang)何(he)及乎!天地之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間(jian),五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)分明(ming)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)報應,禍福(fu)(fu)相(xiang)(xiang)承。身(shen)(shen)(shen)自(zi)(zi)當(dang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),無(wu)(wu)誰代(dai)者。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),從(cong)(cong)樂(le)入(ru)樂(le),從(cong)(cong)明(ming)入(ru)明(ming)。惡(e)(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行惡(e)(e)(e)(e),從(cong)(cong)苦(ku)入(ru)苦(ku),從(cong)(cong)冥入(ru)冥。誰能(neng)知(zhi)者,獨(du)(du)佛(fo)知(zhi)耳。教(jiao)語(yu)開示,信(xin)(xin)行者少。生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)休(xiu),惡(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕。如(ru)(ru)是世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),難(nan)(nan)可(ke)具盡(jin)。故有(you)自(zi)(zi)然三(san)途,無(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱(nao)(nao),輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)累劫(jie)(jie),無(wu)(wu)有(you)出期。難(nan)(nan)得解脫,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)。如(ru)(ru)是五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,譬如(ru)(ru)大(da)火,焚燒人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)身(shen)(shen)(shen)。若能(neng)自(zi)(zi)于(yu)其(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)一(yi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)制意(yi)(yi),端(duan)身(shen)(shen)(shen)正(zheng)(zheng)念,言(yan)(yan)行相(xiang)(xiang)副,所(suo)作(zuo)至(zhi)誠(cheng),獨(du)(du)作(zuo)諸善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)。身(shen)(shen)(shen)獨(du)(du)度脫,獲其(qi)(qi)福(fu)(fu)德(de),可(ke)得長(chang)壽泥(ni)(ni)洹之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道(dao)(dao)(dao)(dao)。是為(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)大(da)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)也。
【譯文】釋(shi)迦牟尼佛告訴彌(mi)勒說:“你等能于(yu)(yu)此(ci)濁世(shi)(shi)(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中正心(xin)誠意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)種種惡(e)(e)(e)(e)業,堪(kan)可(ke)稱為(wei)‘大(da)德(de)’。為(wei)什(shen)么這(zhe)樣說呢(ni)?十(shi)方諸(zhu)(zhu)佛世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)善(shan)多(duo)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)少(shao),容(rong)易接受(shou)開導教化(hua)(hua),唯有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)五惡(e)(e)(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian),‘苦’最大(da)最多(duo)。我現今(jin)在(zai)此(ci)作(zuo)(zuo)佛,教化(hua)(hua)群生(sheng),欲使(shi)他們(men)舍掉‘五惡(e)(e)(e)(e)’,去脫‘五痛’,離開‘五燒’,降(jiang)伏(fu)化(hua)(hua)除他們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡迷(mi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin),讓他們(men)守持‘五善(shan)’,使(shi)他們(men)獲得(de)福德(de)。這(zhe)‘五’是什(shen)么呢(ni)?其一者(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)諸(zhu)(zhu)眾(zhong)生(sheng)類,想作(zuo)(zuo)種種惡(e)(e)(e)(e)事(shi),強者(zhe)(zhe)降(jiang)伏(fu)弱者(zhe)(zhe),強者(zhe)(zhe)身(shen)后又有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)更強者(zhe)(zhe)降(jiang)伏(fu)他,輾轉相(xiang)(xiang)制,殘害傷殺(sha),大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)吞(tun)食小(xiao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),吞(tun)食者(zhe)(zhe)又被更大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)吞(tun)。以(yi)暴(bao)凌善(shan),以(yi)強欺弱,完全不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得(de)相(xiang)(xiang)互為(wei)善(shan)。因(yin)(yin)為(wei)眾(zhong)生(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)如此(ci)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)而(er)其來(lai)生(sheng)受(shou)到(dao)(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報(bao)和(he)懲罰(fa)。所(suo)(suo)以(yi),這(zhe)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)貧(pin)窮、有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)乞(qi)丐(gai),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)父母,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)兒女,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)聾,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瞎,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)啞,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡呆(dai),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)毒,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)殘廢,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瘋狂,這(zhe)都是因(yin)(yin)為(wei)前世(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信道(dao)(dao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)積德(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)善(shan),所(suo)(suo)受(shou)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)‘殃罰(fa)’。世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)也有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)尊貴(gui),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)豪富,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)賢明,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)受(shou)眾(zhong)尊敬,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)智勇雙(shuang)全,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)才能精深(shen)博大(da)。這(zhe)都是由(you)于(yu)(yu)前世(shi)(shi)(shi)慈悲(bei)孝順等等修善(shan)積德(de)所(suo)(suo)得(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)善(shan)報(bao)。現實世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報(bao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)事(shi),更有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)壽終之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)后下(xia)到(dao)(dao)冥界(jie)后不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報(bao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)事(shi),在(zai)冥界(jie)轉生(sheng)投胎又受(shou)色身(shen),改變(bian)了原來(lai)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)形(xing)象,變(bian)豬變(bian)狗,在(zai)五道(dao)(dao)中淪陷于(yu)(yu)更低的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)位置。因(yin)(yin)此(ci),便有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)地獄、禽獸、飛蠅、爬(pa)蟲之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)類。這(zhe)就猶如以(yi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)法律治(zhi)罪犯(fan),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)關在(zai)牢獄之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)受(shou)到(dao)(dao)極刑痛苦。精靈魂魄與其人(ren)前生(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)罪報(bao)相(xiang)(xiang)隨相(xiang)(xiang)從,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)管所(suo)(suo)得(de)到(dao)(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)命或(huo)長或(huo)短,冤(yuan)家債主相(xiang)(xiang)追隨共生(sheng)一處,一定要將(jiang)前世(shi)(shi)(shi)怨仇(chou)一一清算(suan),以(yi)期報(bao)償。所(suo)(suo)犯(fan)罪行(xing)若沒有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)結(jie)清,便不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能夠分開,如此(ci)輾轉往復(fu)于(yu)(yu)其惡(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)中,很多(duo)時劫也難得(de)出(chu)離,絕少(shao)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)機會獲得(de)解脫,其痛苦難以(yi)言(yan)說。天地之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間(jian)(jian),因(yin)(yin)果(guo)相(xiang)(xiang)因(yin)(yin),報(bao)應不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)爽,必應有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)如此(ci)狀。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)時雖不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即(ji)時報(bao)應,但善(shan)因(yin)(yin)善(shan)果(guo),惡(e)(e)(e)(e)因(yin)(yin)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)果(guo),時候(hou)一至,無(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)兌現。
“其二者,世間(jian)人(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)依法(fa)(fa)規軌則(ze)(ze),奢侈(chi)淫樂(le),驕橫放(fang)縱,放(fang)情縱欲。居(ju)上位的(de)(de)官員貪(tan)贓枉(wang)法(fa)(fa),誤國殃民(min),在位而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能正(zheng)已之(zhi)身(shen),誣陷(xian)使人(ren)(ren)冤枉(wang),更陷(xian)害(hai)忠良,阿(a)諛誹謗(bang),心口(kou)不(bu)(bu)(bu)一,投機取(qu)(qu)巧,詭(gui)詐虛偽。還不(bu)(bu)(bu)只是居(ju)上位的(de)(de)官員如此(ci),這世間(jian)無論尊貴的(de)(de)王公貴族,卑殘的(de)(de)奴仆馬弁,族中(zhong)的(de)(de)親眷家(jia)(jia)屬,外界的(de)(de)平民(min)百(bai)姓(xing),都是互相欺誑,瞋恚(hui)愚癡。人(ren)(ren)們都想自己(ji)占便(bian)宜,損他人(ren)(ren)而(er)利己(ji)。為(wei)了貪(tan)婪攫取(qu)(qu),占有更多的(de)(de)利益,不(bu)(bu)(bu)惜以利相侵(qin),互相算(suan)計謀(mou)害(hai),由此(ci)結下忿(fen)惱,由結忿(fen)惱又升格(ge)為(wei)仇(chou)恨,甚至家(jia)(jia)破人(ren)(ren)亡,不(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前因后果(guo)的(de)(de)報應(ying)法(fa)(fa)則(ze)(ze)。富有者,慳吝貪(tan)惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)施舍(she)與人(ren)(ren)。愛欲頑(wan)固(gu),貪(tan)心深重,終生身(shen)心勞(lao)苦,就這樣(yang)一直到(dao)死(si)。到(dao)了死(si)時,財物又帶不(bu)(bu)(bu)走,沒有一樣(yang)能拿(na)到(dao)陰間(jian)。善(shan)惡禍福(fu)平生之(zhi)業,卻追隨(sui)其人(ren)(ren)靈魂而(er)到(dao)往生處,或者三善(shan)道(dao),或者三惡道(dao),總之(zhi),決不(bu)(bu)(bu)會放(fang)棄此(ci)人(ren)(ren)。
“再有(you)(you),或有(you)(you)見人(ren)(ren)之善,不是(shi)想著如何去學習(xi)他(ta)(ta),敬(jing)慕他(ta)(ta),而是(shi)憎惡(e)誹(fei)謗他(ta)(ta),胸中常懷(huai)侵奪之心,希(xi)望損人(ren)(ren)利(li)己,將(jiang)他(ta)(ta)人(ren)(ren)之財(cai)物供自(zi)己取(qu)用,揮霍(huo)完了(le),又重去盜取(qu)。當然逃不出神(shen)明的眼界,終將(jiang)其(qi)人(ren)(ren)打入惡(e)道,自(zi)然有(you)(you)三(san)途惡(e)道的無量(liang)苦惱等(deng)著他(ta)(ta),其(qi)人(ren)(ren)輾轉于三(san)惡(e)道中,曠劫長時(shi)也(ye)難以(yi)得出,其(qi)痛苦不堪言說(shuo)。
“其(qi)三(san)者,世(shi)間(jian)人眾,由于(yu)相互(hu)之(zhi)間(jian)的(de)業因導(dao)果而(er)出生(sheng)于(yu)世(shi),壽命(ming)能有多(duo)(duo)長?不(bu)(bu)(bu)良之(zhi)人,身心不(bu)(bu)(bu)正,常懷邪(xie)惡狠(hen)毒之(zhi)心,常沉溺于(yu)淫(yin)欲放(fang)蕩,煩懣(men)填(tian)塞(sai)胸(xiong)中(zhong)(zhong),淫(yin)邪(xie)放(fang)蕩流露(lu)于(yu)外(wai)表,所作之(zhi)事不(bu)(bu)(bu)但(dan)耗費損失家中(zhong)(zhong)產(chan)業,更因這(zhe)些事情不(bu)(bu)(bu)合(he)法(fa)度甚而(er)至于(yu)違犯法(fa)律(lv)招來惡報(bao)。應當(dang)為之(zhi)追求、為之(zhi)奮斗的(de),他們(men)不(bu)(bu)(bu)愿去追求去奮斗。又(you)有的(de)人拉幫(bang)結伙,興起爭(zheng)戰,互(hu)相攻伐,侵掠殺戮,武力脅(xie)迫,公然搶奪(duo)。將以此(ci)(ci)種(zhong)種(zhong)獸行搶奪(duo)來的(de)財(cai)物(wu)拿(na)去取悅于(yu)妻妾強人,縱情于(yu)聲色(se),不(bu)(bu)(bu)知疲倦(juan)地尋歡作樂(le)。世(shi)間(jian)人眾對此(ci)(ci)憎惡討厭,為此(ci)(ci)使之(zhi)遭受災(zai)禍和無邊(bian)痛苦。這(zhe)些作惡之(zhi)人,雖現人形,卻顯鬼(gui)魅的(de)惡毒。那(nei)明(ming)察人世(shi)的(de)神明(ming)白(bai)會給他們(men)記上(shang)這(zhe)筆帳,以他們(men)自己此(ci)(ci)生(sheng)作惡之(zhi)因,將其(qi)在來世(shi)轉(zhuan)生(sheng)之(zhi)時變為餓(e)鬼(gui)畜生(sheng),墮入三(san)惡道,受到那(nei)無邊(bian)無量無窮無盡的(de)苦痛折磨,其(qi)人輾轉(zhuan)于(yu)三(san)惡道之(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong),很多(duo)(duo)時劫也不(bu)(bu)(bu)能出來,其(qi)痛苦難以言說。
“其四者,世(shi)(shi)間(jian)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)掛念(nian)著(zhu)修(xiu)善的(de)(de)事,卻撥(bo)弄是非,言辭粗鄙,假話大(da)話,阿(a)諛逢(feng)迎,憎恨嫉妒善人(ren)(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)才德(de),敗壞賢明之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)名聲;不(bu)孝敬順遂父母,不(bu)尊重而(er)慢待老師(shi),朋友間(jian)不(bu)守(shou)信譽,難(nan)得以(yi)誠相待;驕傲自(zi)(zi)大(da),炫(xuan)耀自(zi)(zi)己有(you)道行,橫行霸道,仗勢欺人(ren)(ren)(ren),想讓大(da)眾對己產(chan)生(sheng)(sheng)敬畏(wei);不(bu)知羞慚(can),不(bu)自(zi)(zi)戒慎,不(bu)聽勸慰(wei),不(bu)服教化,其心(xin)常(chang)懷自(zi)(zi)大(da)傲慢,僅依(yi)靠(kao)其前(qian)(qian)生(sheng)(sheng)前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)所積累(lei)的(de)(de)那點福(fu)德(de)的(de)(de)佑護,才未馬(ma)上受難(nan);于今(jin)生(sheng)(sheng)今(jin)世(shi)(shi)作惡(e)(e)多(duo)端,前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)辛勤(qin)修(xiu)得的(de)(de)福(fu)德(de)終歸(gui)消耗(hao)殆盡(jin)。其人(ren)(ren)(ren)終了(le)之(zhi)時(shi),他所作的(de)(de)各種惡(e)(e)業(ye)擁著(zhu)他的(de)(de)魂魄去到(dao)冥世(shi)(shi),他的(de)(de)惡(e)(e)名和所作的(de)(de)惡(e)(e)業(ye),都登記在神(shen)明的(de)(de)檔案里,其人(ren)(ren)(ren)被(bei)自(zi)(zi)身生(sheng)(sheng)前(qian)(qian)所作之(zhi)災惡(e)(e)罪過所牽(qian)引,沒有(you)辦法得以(yi)脫身,只好跟著(zhu)前(qian)(qian)去,進入(ru)到(dao)獄火湯鑊之(zhi)中,身心(xin)被(bei)摧毀(hui)破碎,精神(shen)肉(rou)體痛苦不(bu)堪(kan)。到(dao)了(le)這個時(shi)候,后悔(hui)也來不(bu)及了(le)。
“其(qi)(qi)五者,世間的(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)思努力,留連于(yu)(yu)松懈懶惰,不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作善(shan)舉(ju)好(hao)(hao)事,也不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯修身養(yang)性,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能敬業樂群。父(fu)母(mu)教誨兒女(nv)(nv),兒女(nv)(nv)違背(bei)忤逆,就好(hao)(hao)像(xiang)是冤家對頭。有(you)(you)這樣(yang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)兒女(nv)(nv)還(huan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)如沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)。如此兒女(nv)(nv),辜負父(fu)母(mu)養(yang)育之恩(en),違背(bei)孝敬長(chang)輩(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)世間禮儀(yi),對父(fu)母(mu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)恩(en)德全無(wu)(wu)(wu)一點報答之情。有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)放蕩(dang)自縱(zong),游樂散漫,好(hao)(hao)酒貪杯(bei),嗜愛美(mei)味,無(wu)(wu)(wu)知(zhi)(zhi)無(wu)(wu)(wu)識,專(zhuan)橫跋扈,心(xin)無(wu)(wu)(wu)遠見,冥行(xing)(xing)妄作,不(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得(de)人(ren)情世故,不(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得(de)仁義(yi)禮貌(mao).對其(qi)(qi)規勸告誡也沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)用。有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)對父(fu)母(mu)姊妹;親戚眷屬的(de)(de)(de)(de)生活困難全然(ran)不(bu)(bu)(bu)顧,不(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮父(fu)母(mu)之恩(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮老(lao)師朋友情義(yi),心(xin)常念惡(e)(e),口常言(yan)惡(e)(e),身常行(xing)(xing)惡(e)(e),三業之中(zhong)一無(wu)(wu)(wu)是處(chu),無(wu)(wu)(wu)善(shan)可言(yan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)仰諸佛的(de)(de)(de)(de)經言(yan)法教,不(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)信(xin)生死(si)因果,善(shan)惡(e)(e)有(you)(you)報。欲(yu)想(xiang)殺害阿羅漢,離間僧眾使之爭斗(dou),蒙(meng)昧無(wu)(wu)(wu)知(zhi)(zhi),反(fan)而自以為聰明。不(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)(zhi)道生從何(he)處(chu)而來,死(si)后又去到何(he)方,待(dai)人(ren)接物,不(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)(zhi)仁愛和順,癡(chi)心(xin)妄想(xiang)于(yu)(yu)長(chang)生不(bu)(bu)(bu)老(lao)。對慈悲之心(xin)的(de)(de)(de)(de)教誨不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯相(xiang)信(xin);對苦(ku)口婆心(xin)的(de)(de)(de)(de)勸勉之話;無(wu)(wu)(wu)動(dong)于(yu)(yu)衷。上述(shu)人(ren)等心(xin)中(zhong)因癡(chi)愚(yu)而黑暗不(bu)(bu)(bu)明,對善(shan)意(yi)良言(yan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能開悟理(li)解。生命將要終(zhong)了之時,后悔恐懼交(jiao)相(xiang)產(chan)生。不(bu)(bu)(bu)預(yu)先修善(shan),死(si)到臨頭方生后悔,可為時已晚,再后悔也來不(bu)(bu)(bu)及了。
“在天地(di)中間(jian)(jian),天、人、餓鬼、畜(chu)生(sheng)、地(di)獄五道生(sheng)死(si)流轉,其(qi)(qi)(qi)善(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)因果報(bao)應不(bu)爽是(shi)明擺(bai)著的(de)(de)(de)(de)事。行(xing)善(shan)(shan)作惡(e)(e)(e)(e)各有(you)(you)(you)報(bao)應相隨,禍受之于惡(e)(e)(e)(e),福(fu)受之于善(shan)(shan),是(shi)禍是(shi)福(fu),均由其(qi)(qi)(qi)本人自己(ji)來(lai)承(cheng)當,他人無可替代,善(shan)(shan)人行(xing)善(shan)(shan)事,今世(shi)(shi)樂施好善(shan)(shan),來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入富樂人家(jia);今世(shi)(shi)勤修(xiu)福(fu)慧,來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入賢達人家(jia);惡(e)(e)(e)(e)人作惡(e)(e)(e)(e)事,今世(shi)(shi)使人痛(tong)苦,來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入窮(qiong)苦人家(jia);今世(shi)(shi)癡愚,來(lai)生(sheng)還(huan)入癡愚人家(jia)。這其(qi)(qi)(qi)中的(de)(de)(de)(de)道理有(you)(you)(you)誰能知?唯獨只有(you)(you)(you)佛能知能曉。佛說的(de)(de)(de)(de)教導人眾(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)方法,所開示的(de)(de)(de)(de)真實之相,信受不(bu)移而依(yi)此篤行(xing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)人極少極少。所以世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)生(sheng)死(si)輪回永不(bu)停止,墮(duo)于三惡(e)(e)(e)(e)道之路的(de)(de)(de)(de)人眾(zhong)不(bu)能斷(duan)絕。像這樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)凡(fan)夫(fu)俗(su)子,難以全部(bu)都度脫完(wan)畢,所以才有(you)(you)(you)三惡(e)(e)(e)(e)道無量苦惱,讓這樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)凡(fan)夫(fu)俗(su)子輾轉于其(qi)(qi)(qi)中,生(sheng)生(sheng)世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi),曠劫而不(bu)能得(de)(de)出,解脫生(sheng)死(si)的(de)(de)(de)(de)希(xi)望無從(cong)感(gan)受,痛(tong)苦難以言說。
“像這樣(yang)的五惡(e)、五痛、五燒(shao),猶如大火(huo)焚燒(shao)人(ren)身,若有(you)人(ren)能在(zai)火(huo)燒(shao)之中(zhong),專一(yi)其心,制止意業發生(sheng),端正(zheng)其行(xing)(xing)為思想(xiang),言行(xing)(xing)一(yi)致,誠心誠意,不管世間濁穢(hui)如何,獨作善事(shi),不作各種惡(e)事(shi),其人(ren)之身便(bian)獨得度脫,獲得他行(xing)(xing)善報應的福(fu)德,可得以在(zai)無生(sheng)無滅(mie)的涅盤(pan)境界中(zhong)長(chang)生(sheng)。這就是五大善。”
【原文】佛告彌勒:吾語汝等(deng),如是五惡(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒(shao),輾(zhan)轉相生。敢有(you)犯此,當(dang)歷(li)惡(e)趣。或(huo)其(qi)今世,先被病殃,死生不(bu)(bu)得,示眾見之。或(huo)于(yu)壽終,入三(san)惡(e)道。愁痛(tong)酷(ku)毒(du),自(zi)(zi)(zi)相燋然(ran)。共其(qi)怨家,更相殺傷。從(cong)小微起,成大(da)困劇。皆由貪著(zhu)財色,不(bu)(bu)肯(ken)施惠。各(ge)欲自(zi)(zi)(zi)快,無(wu)復曲直。癡欲所迫,厚己爭利(li)。富貴榮(rong)華,當(dang)時快意(yi)。不(bu)(bu)能忍辱,不(bu)(bu)務修善(shan)。威勢無(wu)幾,隨以磨滅。天道施張(zhang),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)糾(jiu)舉,煢煢忪忪,當(dang)入其(qi)中。古(gu)今有(you)是,痛(tong)哉(zai)可傷!汝等(deng)得佛經語,熟(shu)思惟之。各(ge)自(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)(duan)守,終身不(bu)(bu)怠。尊圣敬善(shan),仁慈博愛。當(dang)求(qiu)度(du)世,拔斷生死眾惡(e)之本(ben)。當(dang)離(li)三(san)途(tu),憂怖苦痛(tong)之道。若曹(cao)作(zuo)善(shan),云何(he)第一?當(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)(duan)心,當(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)(duan)身。耳目口(kou)鼻,皆當(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)(duan)。身心凈潔,與善(shan)相應。勿隨嗜欲,不(bu)(bu)犯諸惡(e)。言色當(dang)和,身行當(dang)專(zhuan)。動(dong)作(zuo)瞻視,安定(ding)徐為(wei)。作(zuo)事(shi)倉卒,敗悔(hui)在(zai)后。為(wei)之不(bu)(bu)諦,亡其(qi)功夫。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛對(dui)彌勒說:“我(wo)告訴了你們這個五(wu)(wu)惡(e)、五(wu)(wu)痛、五(wu)(wu)燒輾轉相(xiang)生因(yin)果(guo)(guo)輪(lun)回的(de)道理。若(ruo)還有人(ren)敢于犯此五(wu)(wu)惡(e),必當遭(zao)到惡(e)果(guo)(guo)所報(bao),或(huo)者其(qi)人(ren)今(jin)世(shi)就(jiu)得現(xian)報(bao),先被病惡(e)禍(huo)及(ji),痛苦(ku)(ku)不堪(kan),求生不得,求死不能,讓(rang)大眾都得見這惡(e)行(xing)惡(e)報(bao)的(de)下場。或(huo)者其(qi)人(ren)在(zai)壽(shou)終(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)后,墮入三惡(e)趣(qu)中(zhong),憂愁痛苦(ku)(ku),酷刑荼毒(du),自(zi)業之(zhi)(zhi)火(huo),炙灼(zhuo)自(zi)身;與他在(zai)生之(zhi)(zhi)世(shi)結的(de)冤家對(dui)頭共處(chu)一地(di),互(hu)相(xiang)傷害(hai)殘殺(sha),從很小的(de)摩擦開(kai)始,愈(yu)演愈(yu)烈,最終(zhong)釀成重(zhong)災大禍(huo)。
“上述兩種惡報都是由(you)于生之(zhi)(zhi)世貪(tan)得(de)無(wu)(wu)厭,積斂錢(qian)財,無(wu)(wu)羞無(wu)(wu)恥,沉溺(ni)色情,不(bu)肯以財物布施(shi)窮人(ren)(ren),只求自己快樂和(he)欲望得(de)到滿足(zu),不(bu)管所行(xing)之(zhi)(zhi)事(shi)的(de)是非(fei)曲直。由(you)癡欲貪(tan)婪之(zhi)(zhi)心所迫使,損(sun)人(ren)(ren)利己,不(bu)擇手段(duan)與(yu)人(ren)(ren)爭(zheng)利,爭(zheng)得(de)的(de)富貴榮華(hua),只是一時(shi)的(de)快意,不(bu)愿(yuan)忍辱修(xiu)習(xi),不(bu)能修(xiu)善積德,威風權勢沒有(you)幾天(tian)長久,隨即便磨滅殆(dai)盡。天(tian)理(li)昭然,自會觀察(cha)審(shen)視(shi)到其人(ren)(ren)所為。其人(ren)(ren)自感罪行(xing)敗露,驚惶失措(cuo),將(jiang)孤(gu)獨地墮入惡道之(zhi)(zhi)中。從古到今有(you)不(bu)少這方面的(de)例(li)子。痛心啊,真使人(ren)(ren)痛心!
“你們聽我說(shuo)了這(zhe)些(xie)法教,應(ying)對這(zhe)其中道理深思熟慮(lv),各自(zi)(zi)(zi)端守(shou)奉行(xing)(xing)教法,終身(shen)不要有(you)片刻懈怠(dai)。尊重(zhong)阿(a)羅漢等修行(xing)(xing)人,敬愛行(xing)(xing)善(shan)好施的(de)大居(ju)士,仁義慈悲(bei),博愛眾生,當(dang)求濟度世間有(you)情之道,拔除(chu)斷滅生死和(he)各種惡的(de)根(gen)源。如這(zhe)樣作(zuo),則必將(jiang)(jiang)脫離三惡道的(de)憂愁、恐怖、苦痛。你們作(zuo)善(shan)事(shi),首先得(de)作(zuo)什(shen)么?首先應(ying)當(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)行(xing)(xing)端正身(shen)心,端正耳(er)、目、口、鼻。身(shen)心潔凈(jing),與(yu)善(shan)便(bian)可(ke)相照應(ying)。不要順逐嗜好欲望,不要造下諸種惡業,語言(yan)面(mian)容(rong)應(ying)當(dang)溫柔和(he)藹,自(zi)(zi)(zi)身(shen)及行(xing)(xing)為應(ying)當(dang)專誠瑞正。一舉一動,一言(yan)一行(xing)(xing),都應(ying)當(dang)安祥沉靜,從容(rong)不迫。作(zuo)事(shi)倉卒(zu)慌忙(mang),必將(jiang)(jiang)失敗與(yu)后悔,一招不慎,便(bian)會喪失其修習了許久的(de)功夫德行(xing)(xing)。”
【原文】汝(ru)等廣植德(de)(de)本,勿犯道(dao)禁(jin)。忍辱精進,慈心(xin)專一(yi)。齋戒清(qing)凈,一(yi)日一(yi)夜,勝在無量(liang)壽國為(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan)百歲(sui)(sui)。所(suo)(suo)以者(zhe)何?彼佛國土,皆積德(de)(de)眾善(shan)(shan),無毫(hao)發(fa)之惡。于(yu)此(ci)修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)(shan),十(shi)日十(shi)夜,勝于(yu)他方諸佛國中,為(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan)千歲(sui)(sui)。所(suo)(suo)以者(zhe)何?他方佛國,福德(de)(de)自(zi)(zi)然,無造惡之地。唯此(ci)世間,善(shan)(shan)少惡多,飲(yin)苦食毒,未嘗(chang)寧息。吾哀汝(ru)等,苦心(xin)誨(hui)喻(yu),授與經(jing)法(fa)(fa)。悉(xi)持思之,悉(xi)奉(feng)行(xing)之。尊卑、男女、眷屬(shu)、朋友(you),轉相(xiang)(xiang)教語,自(zi)(zi)相(xiang)(xiang)約檢。和(he)順義理,歡樂慈孝。所(suo)(suo)作如(ru)犯,則自(zi)(zi)悔過。去惡就(jiu)善(shan)(shan),朝聞夕(xi)改(gai)。奉(feng)持經(jing)戒,如(ru)貧得寶。改(gai)往修(xiu)(xiu)來,洗心(xin)易行(xing)。自(zi)(zi)然感降(jiang),所(suo)(suo)愿輒(zhe)得。佛所(suo)(suo)行(xing)處,國邑(yi)丘聚,靡不(bu)蒙化。天下和(he)順,日月清(qing)明。風雨以時,災厲不(bu)起(qi)。國豐民安,兵戈無用。崇德(de)(de)興仁,務修(xiu)(xiu)禮讓。國無盜賊(zei),無有(you)怨枉(wang)。強不(bu)凌弱(ruo),各(ge)得其所(suo)(suo)。我哀汝(ru)等,甚于(yu)父母(mu)念子。我于(yu)此(ci)世作佛,以善(shan)(shan)攻惡,拔生死之苦。令獲(huo)五德(de)(de),升無為(wei)(wei)之安。吾般(ban)泥洹,經(jing)道(dao)漸滅。人民諂偽,復(fu)為(wei)(wei)眾惡。五燒五痛(tong),久后(hou)轉劇。汝(ru)等轉相(xiang)(xiang)教誡(jie),如(ru)佛經(jing)法(fa)(fa),無得犯也。彌勒菩(pu)薩,合掌白言:世人惡苦,如(ru)是如(ru)是。佛皆慈哀,悉(xi)度(du)脫之。受佛重誨(hui),不(bu)敢(gan)違失(shi)。
【譯文】你們應當廣修(xiu)六度,培植功德(de)之(zhi)本,不(bu)要違犯了(le)戒禁紀律。一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)定(ding)要忍辱精(jing)進,用心專一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)。守齋持戒,務使身(shen)心清凈。若能在此(ci)穢土守齋持戒一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)天一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)夜(ye),所(suo)獲的(de)功德(de)勝過在無量壽國(guo)里作(zuo)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)百(bai)年的(de)善(shan)(shan)行(xing)義舉。為(wei)什么呢?那西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界都是各種福德(de)善(shan)(shan)事積(ji)累而成(cheng),沒有哪怕是如毫毛頭發的(de)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)絲惡念。在我(wo)們這娑婆世(shi)界修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)十天十夜(ye),勝過在其他(ta)諸佛(fo)國(guo)中修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)千年。為(wei)什么呢?其他(ta)的(de)佛(fo)國(guo)天然有佛(fo)德(de),沒有造成(cheng)惡業的(de)余地(di)。不(bu)像我(wo)們這世(shi)間,善(shan)(shan)少惡多,飲苦(ku)水(shui),吃毒食,終無休(xiu)止之(zhi)期。
我(wo)為(wei)你(ni)(ni)們(men)眾生(sheng)悲哀,所(suo)以才苦口(kou)婆心(xin)地加以教(jiao)導,翻來復去(qu)的(de)給出譬喻(yu),一(yi)心(xin)要教(jiao)給你(ni)(ni)們(men)經(jing)法,令你(ni)(ni)們(men)受持(chi)思考,如(ru)(ru)教(jiao)奉(feng)行(xing)。對(dui)達官(guan)顯貴和奴仆(pu)百姓(xing),對(dui)男人和女(nv)人,對(dui)親(qin)戚眷屬,對(dui)朋友(you)同事,轉(zhuan)述我(wo)教(jiao)導的(de)這些話,務必要自(zi)行(xing)檢查約(yue)束,使言(yan)行(xing)舉(ju)止合順于(yu)理義,歡喜安樂于(yu)慈愛兒女(nv)、孝(xiao)敬父母(mu)。所(suo)作所(suo)為(wei)如(ru)(ru)有違(wei)犯經(jing)戒的(de)地方,則自(zi)行(xing)改過。離去(qu)惡而靠近善,早上知(zhi)道(dao)了正確(que)的(de)道(dao)理,下午就改正過來。奉(feng)持(chi)經(jing)戒,如(ru)(ru)同窮人得到珍寶,改正以往(wang)的(de)惡,修行(xing)未(wei)來的(de)善,洗除心(xin)中的(de)污(wu)垢,變易自(zi)己的(de)行(xing)為(wei),自(zi)然感應(ying)到佛力加持(chi),凡所(suo)求愿,都能圓滿(man)。
佛所(suo)到之處(chu)(chu),大到國家,小到鄉邑,凡眾生聚居之處(chu)(chu),沒(mei)有一(yi)地不(bu)(bu)蒙受教化,也沒(mei)有一(yi)處(chu)(chu)不(bu)(bu)呈(cheng)現祥和太平。萬邦和睦,日月清明,風調雨順,災害不(bu)(bu)起,瘟疫不(bu)(bu)行(xing);國家豐足(zu),人(ren)民安(an)樂;刀槍入(ru)庫,尊(zun)崇道德;興施仁(ren)政(zheng),宣傳(chuan)禮讓(rang);國無盜賊(zei),世無怨(yuan)枉;強者不(bu)(bu)欺(qi)凌弱者,人(ren)人(ren)都各得其所(suo)。
我憐(lian)憫你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)罪苦眾生(sheng)(sheng),勝過父母慈愛兒女。我在此五濁惡世(shi)上(shang)作佛(fo);用善德(de)來攻破惡行。拔除有情(qing)生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)之苦,使(shi)眾生(sheng)(sheng)獲(huo)得(de)“五德(de)”,升至無為無礙(ai)的常樂心(xin)境。我圓寂后,經法佛(fo)道將逐(zhu)漸泯滅(mie),那(nei)時候(hou),人心(xin)諂邪狡(jiao)詐,重新作惡,五燒五痛,越(yue)來越(yue)劇,你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)應當由(you)我佛(fo)法的弟子轉為教(jiao)(jiao)導世(shi)人的老(lao)師,不倦(juan)地教(jiao)(jiao)誡眾生(sheng)(sheng),引導眾生(sheng)(sheng)。你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)記住(zhu),對(dui)于佛(fo)所(suo)留下的經法,一定不要違犯。
彌勒菩薩合掌(zhang)致謝禮,贊(zan)嘆(tan)道:世間人類的惡(e)與(yu)苦(ku),如佛所說這樣大、這樣深,佛皆慈哀世間惡(e)人,不計其惡(e)而全部(bu)度脫。我等(deng)受佛深刻(ke)的教誨,不敢違犯忘失。
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)告(gao)阿(a)(a)難:若曹欲(yu)見(jian)(jian)無(wu)量清凈(jing)平等覺,及諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)菩薩(sa)、阿(a)(a)羅漢(han)等所居(ju)國土(tu),應起(qi)西向,當日沒處(chu),恭(gong)敬頂禮(li)(li),稱(cheng)念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)難即從(cong)座起(qi),面西合掌,頂禮(li)(li)白言:我(wo)今愿(yuan)見(jian)(jian)極樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),供養奉事(shi),種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)善根。頂禮(li)(li)之(zhi)間,忽(hu)見(jian)(jian)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),容顏廣大(da)(da),色相端嚴。如(ru)黃(huang)金山(shan),高(gao)出一(yi)(yi)切(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)上。又聞十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)如(ru)來(lai),稱(cheng)揚贊(zan)嘆阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)功(gong)德,無(wu)礙(ai)無(wu)斷。阿(a)(a)難白言:彼(bi)(bi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)凈(jing)剎得未曾有(you),我(wo)亦愿(yuan)樂生于(yu)彼(bi)(bi)土(tu)。世(shi)(shi)(shi)尊告(gao)言:其中(zhong)(zhong)生者,已曾親(qin)近無(wu)量諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),植眾(zhong)德本。汝欲(yu)生彼(bi)(bi),應當一(yi)(yi)心歸(gui)依瞻仰。作(zuo)是(shi)語時(shi),阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)即于(yu)掌中(zhong)(zhong)放無(wu)量光(guang),普照一(yi)(yi)切(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)。時(shi)諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國,皆(jie)悉(xi)明(ming)(ming)現(xian),如(ru)處(chu)一(yi)(yi)尋(xun)。以阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)殊勝光(guang)明(ming)(ming),極清凈(jing)故,于(yu)此世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)所有(you)黑山(shan)、雪山(shan)、金剛、鐵圍大(da)(da)小(xiao)諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)山(shan),江(jiang)河叢林,天(tian)(tian)(tian)人宮殿,一(yi)(yi)切(qie)(qie)境界(jie)(jie)(jie),無(wu)不(bu)照見(jian)(jian)。譬(pi)如(ru)日出,明(ming)(ming)照世(shi)(shi)(shi)間。乃(nai)至泥犁、溪(xi)谷,幽冥之(zhi)處(chu),悉(xi)大(da)(da)開辟(pi),皆(jie)同一(yi)(yi)色。猶如(ru)劫水彌(mi)滿世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),其中(zhong)(zhong)萬物,沉沒不(bu)現(xian),滉漾(yang)浩汗(han),唯見(jian)(jian)大(da)(da)水。彼(bi)(bi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)明(ming)(ming),亦復如(ru)是(shi)。聲(sheng)聞、菩薩(sa)一(yi)(yi)切(qie)(qie)光(guang)明(ming)(ming),悉(xi)皆(jie)隱蔽,唯見(jian)(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang),明(ming)(ming)耀顯赫。此會(hui)四眾(zhong)、天(tian)(tian)(tian)龍八部(bu)、人非人等,皆(jie)見(jian)(jian)極樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)莊(zhuang)嚴。阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),于(yu)彼(bi)(bi)高(gao)座,威德巍(wei)巍(wei),相好光(guang)明(ming)(ming),聲(sheng)聞、菩薩(sa),圍繞(rao)恭(gong)敬。譬(pi)如(ru)須彌(mi)山(shan)王,出于(yu)海面。明(ming)(ming)現(xian)照耀,清凈(jing)平正(zheng)。無(wu)有(you)雜穢,及異形類(lei)。唯是(shi)眾(zhong)寶莊(zhuang)嚴,圣賢共住。阿(a)(a)難及諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)菩薩(sa)眾(zhong)等,皆(jie)大(da)(da)歡喜,踴躍(yue)作(zuo)禮(li)(li),以頭(tou)著(zhu)地(di),稱(cheng)念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)三藐三佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)陀(tuo)(tuo)(tuo)。諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)(tian)人民,以至蜎飛蠕(ru)動,睹斯光(guang)者,所有(you)疾苦(ku),莫不(bu)休止,一(yi)(yi)切(qie)(qie)憂惱,莫不(bu)解脫。悉(xi)皆(jie)慈心作(zuo)善,歡喜快樂。鐘磬、琴瑟、箜篌樂器,不(bu)鼓(gu)自然皆(jie)作(zuo)五音。諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國中(zhong)(zhong),諸(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)(tian)人民,各持花(hua)香,來(lai)于(yu)虛空,散作(zuo)供養。爾時(shi)極樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),過于(yu)西方百千俱胝那(nei)由他(ta)國,以佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)威力,如(ru)對目前,如(ru)凈(jing)天(tian)(tian)(tian)眼(yan),觀一(yi)(yi)尋(xun)地(di)。彼(bi)(bi)見(jian)(jian)此土(tu),亦復如(ru)是(shi)。悉(xi)睹娑婆世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),釋迦如(ru)來(lai),及比丘眾(zhong),圍繞(rao)說法。
【譯文】釋加牟尼佛告誡(jie)阿難說:“你們(men)如果想見無量壽佛以及(ji)西(xi)方(fang)極樂世(shi)界諸菩薩、阿羅漢(han)等所居住的(de)凈土,應起立(li)面向西(xi)方(fang),即(ji)對日落之處,恭敬地行禮,稱(cheng)念南無阿彌(mi)陀佛。”
阿(a)(a)難即刻從(cong)座位(wei)上站(zhan)起(qi)來(lai),面(mian)向西(xi)方;合掌行(xing)禮(li)而發愿(yuan)道:我現(xian)在(zai)愿(yuan)見極樂世(shi)界的(de)阿(a)(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo),供養伺奉阿(a)(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo),并以此積(ji)累福德。正行(xing)禮(li)之間,忽見阿(a)(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo)臉(lian)面(mian)極其廣大,面(mian)容(rong)相貌端莊(zhuang)威嚴,如黃金的(de)山,高高地出(chu)現(xian)在(zai)一切諸(zhu)世(shi)界上空,又聽聞到十方世(shi)界的(de)諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)如來(lai),都(dou)在(zai)稱揚贊嘆阿(a)(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo)的(de)種種功(gong)德,天地之間無處不(bu)回響著(zhu)這美(mei)好(hao)的(de)聲音,久(jiu)久(jiu)不(bu)斷(duan)。”
阿(a)難稟白說:“今見西(xi)方極樂世(shi)界(jie),得見所未見,聞(wen)所未聞(wen)的(de)奇跡,我也愿(yuan)意高興地往(wang)生(sheng)于那里。”世(shi)尊告(gao)訴他說:“西(xi)方極樂世(shi)界(jie)的(de)往(wang)生(sheng)者,過去曾供養伺(si)奉無量諸佛(fo)(fo),積累了(le)各種(zhong)福德善根,你想往(wang)生(sheng)那里,就應當(dang)一心一意地歸依和瞻(zhan)仰阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)。”
說這(zhe)話的(de)時候,阿彌陀(tuo)佛即(ji)在(zai)(zai)手(shou)掌中放出(chu)無(wu)(wu)量的(de)光(guang)(guang)(guang),普照(zhao)一切諸佛世(shi)(shi)界。這(zhe)時候,諸佛國皆全(quan)部(bu)顯現(xian)(xian)出(chu)來,只在(zai)(zai)咫尺之間。因為阿彌陀(tuo)佛無(wu)(wu)比的(de)光(guang)(guang)(guang)明(ming)極其(qi)清凈的(de)緣故,把(ba)這(zhe)世(shi)(shi)界所(suo)有(you)的(de)黑山、雪(xue)山、金剛山、鐵圍山等(deng)大大小小的(de)山,把(ba)這(zhe)世(shi)(shi)界所(suo)有(you)的(de)江河、叢林(lin)、天人宮(gong)殿等(deng)等(deng)一切境(jing)界,全(quan)都(dou)照(zhao)現(xian)(xian)出(chu)來。譬如(ru)太陽(yang)升起(qi)在(zai)(zai)空中,光(guang)(guang)(guang)明(ming)普照(zhao)世(shi)(shi)間,乃至照(zhao)遍地獄、溪谷(gu)等(deng)幽(you)暗(an)之處(chu)。這(zhe)些幽(you)暗(an)之處(chu)全(quan)都(dou)開(kai)明(ming)盡現(xian)(xian),世(shi)(shi)上一切事(shi)物無(wu)(wu)不顯出(chu)金色光(guang)(guang)(guang)芒。猶(you)如(ru)劫水(shui)彌漫于世(shi)(shi)界,其(qi)中的(de)萬物沉沒不現(xian)(xian),無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)無(wu)(wu)際(ji)唯見大水(shui)。阿彌陀(tuo)佛的(de)光(guang)(guang)(guang)明(ming)亦是這(zhe)樣(yang)。聲聞、菩薩的(de)一切光(guang)(guang)(guang)明(ming),全(quan)都(dou)隱蔽(bi)不現(xian)(xian),惟見佛光(guang)(guang)(guang)明(ming)耀(yao)顯赫。
在(zai)此(ci)聚(ju)會(hui)的四眾(zhong)弟子,天龍八部、人(ren)非人(ren)等(deng),都親眼看見了極(ji)樂世界的種(zhong)種(zhong)莊(zhuang)嚴(yan)之象。阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛坐在(zai)他的高座上,威嚴(yan)肅(su)穆,功德(de)巍巍,瑞相(xiang)光(guang)明,與(yu)天地(di)齊。聲聞、菩薩(sa)弟子恭(gong)恭(gong)敬敬地(di)圍繞在(zai)他身邊。譬如須彌(mi)山(shan)王升起(qi)于海面,光(guang)明照耀(yao),清(qing)凈安(an)穩,沒有(you)(you)雜染(ran)污穢(hui),以及異形物類,只(zhi)有(you)(you)各種(zhong)寶物莊(zhuang)嚴(yan)修飾,只(zhi)有(you)(you)圣人(ren)與(yu)賢者(zhe)相(xiang)居共住。阿(a)難及諸菩薩(sa)眾(zhong)等(deng)皆心生大(da)歡(huan)喜,歡(huan)呼雀(que)躍,五(wu)體投地(di)恭(gong)行大(da)禮,口中稱(cheng)念南無(wu)阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛。
諸天界(jie)人民,以(yi)(yi)(yi)至(zhi)飛蠅(ying)爬(pa)蟲,凡(fan)見到(dao)阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)明者,所(suo)有(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)疾病痛苦,莫不(bu)(bu)消失,一切(qie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)憂愁(chou)煩惱,無(wu)不(bu)(bu)解脫。人人都生發(fa)出(chu)慈(ci)善之(zhi)心(xin),人人都感到(dao)歡(huan)喜快樂(le)。鐘磬琴瑟(se)、箜篌樂(le)器,不(bu)(bu)鼓(gu)不(bu)(bu)彈不(bu)(bu)吹(chui)不(bu)(bu)奏便自然地(di)發(fa)出(chu)音樂(le)。諸佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)中(zhong)諸天人民各各手(shou)持鮮花、供香(xiang),來到(dao)虛空之(zhi)中(zhong)散下,以(yi)(yi)(yi)此供養佛(fo)(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)(shi)尊。那時,極樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)雖遠在(zai)西方(fang)百(bai)千俱(ju)胝那由他(ta)國(guo)度之(zhi)外,以(yi)(yi)(yi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)威(wei)力現出(chu)奇跡,如(ru)在(zai)眼前對面。又(you)如(ru)同以(yi)(yi)(yi)天眼觀看(kan)咫尺以(yi)(yi)(yi)外的(de)(de)(de)(de)地(di)方(fang),自然無(wu)不(bu)(bu)清(qing)(qing)晰(xi)明見。極樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)上的(de)(de)(de)(de)圣眾(zhong)(zhong)看(kan)娑婆(po)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)也同娑婆(po)世(shi)(shi)(shi)異(yi)眾(zhong)(zhong)生看(kan)他(ta)們(men)一樣(yang)清(qing)(qing)晰(xi)明白(bai),他(ta)們(men)又(you)都能(neng)看(kan)到(dao)娑婆(po)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)上的(de)(de)(de)(de)釋迦牟(mou)尼佛(fo)(fo)(fo),以(yi)(yi)(yi)及眾(zhong)(zhong)比(bi)丘(qiu)。眾(zhong)(zhong)比(bi)丘(qiu)圍繞釋迦如(ru)來,正在(zai)演說此《大乘無(wu)量(liang)壽莊嚴清(qing)(qing)凈平等覺經》。
【原文】爾時佛告(gao)阿(a)難,及慈(ci)(ci)氏(shi)菩薩:汝(ru)見(jian)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界,宮殿(dian)樓(lou)閣(ge),泉(quan)池林樹,具足微(wei)妙(miao)清凈莊嚴否(fou)(fou)?汝(ru)見(jian)欲界諸(zhu)天(tian),上至色(se)究竟天(tian),雨諸(zhu)香華,遍佛剎否(fou)(fou)?阿(a)難對(dui)曰:唯(wei)然已(yi)(yi)見(jian)。汝(ru)聞阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛大(da)音宣布一切(qie)世(shi)界,化(hua)眾生(sheng)(sheng)否(fou)(fou)?阿(a)難對(dui)曰:唯(wei)然已(yi)(yi)聞。佛言(yan):汝(ru)見(jian)彼(bi)國凈行(xing)之眾,游處虛空,宮殿(dian)隨身,無所(suo)障礙,遍至十方(fang)供(gong)養諸(zhu)佛否(fou)(fou)?及見(jian)彼(bi)等念佛相續否(fou)(fou)?復有(you)眾鳥住虛空界,出種(zhong)種(zhong)音,皆是化(hua)作,汝(ru)悉見(jian)否(fou)(fou)?慈(ci)(ci)氏(shi)白言(yan):如佛所(suo)說,一一皆見(jian)。佛告(gao)彌(mi)勒(le):彼(bi)國人(ren)民有(you)胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),汝(ru)復見(jian)否(fou)(fou)?彌(mi)勒(le)白言(yan):世(shi)尊,我(wo)見(jian)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界人(ren)住胎者(zhe),如夜(ye)摩天(tian),處于(yu)(yu)宮殿(dian)。又見(jian)眾生(sheng)(sheng),于(yu)(yu)蓮(lian)華內(nei)結跏趺坐,自(zi)然化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)。何因緣故,彼(bi)國人(ren)民,有(you)胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),有(you)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)?
【譯文】那時候,釋(shi)迦(jia)牟尼問阿難以及慈氏菩薩道(dao):“你們看見(jian)極樂世界的宮(gong)殿、樓(lou)閣、泉池(chi)、林(lin)樹是(shi)否十(shi)分微妙和清凈(jing)莊嚴(yan)?你們看見(jian)欲界諸(zhu)天,上至色究(jiu)竟天,降香花之(zhi)雨,那花遍散(san)十(shi)方佛國(guo)凈(jing)土了(le)嗎?”
阿難回答說:“都看見了。”
釋(shi)迦牟尼佛(fo)又問:“你們聽到阿(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)以他宏大的(de)聲音宣布,他將于一切世界來(lai)化度眾生了嗎?”
阿難(nan)回答說:“都(dou)聽到了。”
釋迦牟尼佛(fo)又(you)說:“你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)看(kan)見極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie)清凈(jing)修行的(de)圣(sheng)眾遨游虛(xu)空之中(zhong)了嗎(ma)?他(ta)們(men)所居的(de)宮(gong)(gong)殿隨(sui)在身后,他(ta)們(men)飛到(dao)哪兒宮(gong)(gong)殿也跟到(dao)哪兒,竟然(ran)沒有任何(he)障礙。你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)看(kan)見他(ta)們(men)如此(ci)這(zhe)般地飛遍十方世(shi)界(jie)(jie)去供養(yang)諸佛(fo)了嗎(ma)?你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)看(kan)到(dao)他(ta)們(men)在不斷(duan)念佛(fo)嗎(ma)?各種鳥在虛(xu)空中(zhong)啼叫,發(fa)出種種聲音(yin),都是(shi)阿彌陀佛(fo)的(de)變化所為(wei),你(ni)(ni)(ni)們(men)全看(kan)出來了嗎(ma)?”
彌勒菩薩答(da)道:“如佛所說,我(wo)們都一(yi)一(yi)看見(jian)了。”
釋迦(jia)牟尼佛(fo)又向(xiang)彌(mi)勒菩(pu)薩發問道:“西方極樂世(shi)界的(de)人(ren)民中(zhong)暫的(de)是胎生的(de),你看(kan)清楚(chu)了嗎(ma)?”
彌勒菩薩回答說:“世尊(zun),我看見極樂世界有胎(tai)生(sheng)的人,猶如夜摩天(tian)人在宮殿中(zhong)。又還看見眾生(sheng)于蓮花內結跏跌坐(zuo)而自然化生(sheng)。但這是(shi)什么因緣造成西方極樂世界有胎(tai)生(sheng)者和化生(sheng)者兩種眾生(sheng)的呢?”
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告慈(ci)氏:若有眾生(sheng)(sheng),以疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)心(xin)修(xiu)(xiu)諸(zhu)功(gong)德(de)(de),愿(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)彼國(guo)。不(bu)了佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)思議(yi)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、大(da)乘廣智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)等無(wu)(wu)倫最上(shang)勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),于(yu)(yu)此(ci)諸(zhu)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)不(bu)信(xin)。猶(you)信(xin)罪(zui)福,修(xiu)(xiu)習(xi)善(shan)本(ben),愿(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)其(qi)(qi)國(guo)。復(fu)有眾生(sheng)(sheng),積(ji)集善(shan)根(gen)(gen),希求佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)等智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、威德(de)(de)廣大(da)不(bu)思議(yi)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。于(yu)(yu)自(zi)善(shan)根(gen)(gen),不(bu)能(neng)生(sheng)(sheng)信(xin)。故(gu)于(yu)(yu)往生(sheng)(sheng)清凈佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo),意志(zhi)猶(you)豫,無(wu)(wu)所(suo)(suo)專據。然(ran)猶(you)續(xu)念(nian)不(bu)絕。結其(qi)(qi)善(shan)愿(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)為本(ben),續(xu)得往生(sheng)(sheng)。是(shi)諸(zhu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)等,以此(ci)因緣(yuan),雖生(sheng)(sheng)彼國(guo),不(bu)能(neng)前(qian)至(zhi)無(wu)(wu)量壽所(suo)(suo)。道(dao)止佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)界邊,七寶(bao)城中(zhong)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)不(bu)使(shi)爾(er),身行所(suo)(suo)作(zuo),心(xin)自(zi)趣向(xiang)。亦(yi)有寶(bao)池蓮華(hua)(hua),自(zi)然(ran)受(shou)身。飲食快樂,如忉利天。于(yu)(yu)其(qi)(qi)城中(zhong),不(bu)能(neng)得出(chu)。所(suo)(suo)居舍宅(zhai)在地,不(bu)能(neng)隨意高(gao)大(da)。于(yu)(yu)五百歲(sui),常(chang)不(bu)見(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),不(bu)聞經法(fa),不(bu)見(jian)菩薩(sa)聲聞圣眾。其(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)不(bu)明(ming),知經復(fu)少。心(xin)不(bu)開(kai)解,意不(bu)歡樂。是(shi)故(gu)于(yu)(yu)彼謂(wei)之胎生(sheng)(sheng)。若有眾生(sheng)(sheng),明(ming)信(xin)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),乃至(zhi)勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),斷(duan)除(chu)疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo),信(xin)己(ji)善(shan)根(gen)(gen),作(zuo)諸(zhu)功(gong)德(de)(de),至(zhi)心(xin)回向(xiang)。皆于(yu)(yu)七寶(bao)華(hua)(hua)中(zhong),自(zi)然(ran)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),跏趺而坐。須臾之頃,身相光(guang)明(ming),智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)功(gong)德(de)(de),如諸(zhu)菩薩(sa),具足成就。彌勒(le)當知,彼化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui)勝故(gu)。其(qi)(qi)胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),五百歲(sui)中(zhong),不(bu)見(jian)三(san)寶(bao),不(bu)知菩薩(sa)法(fa)式,不(bu)得修(xiu)(xiu)習(xi)功(gong)德(de)(de),無(wu)(wu)因奉事無(wu)(wu)量壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)。當知此(ci)人(ren)(ren)(ren),宿(su)世(shi)之時,無(wu)(wu)有智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)(hui),疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)所(suo)(suo)致。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛(fo)告訴彌(mi)勒菩薩道(dao):“比如(ru)有的(de)(de)眾生(sheng)用疑惑的(de)(de)態度(du)(du)去(qu)修種(zhong)種(zhong)功德(de),愿(yuan)往生(sheng)西方(fang)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界,他們(men)不(bu)(bu)理解佛(fo)智、不(bu)(bu)思議(yi)智、不(bu)(bu)可稱智、大(da)乘(cheng)廣智、無等(deng)無倫(lun)最上勝智的(de)(de)奧(ao)妙(miao),對(dui)(dui)于(yu)(yu)(yu)這些佛(fo)智持懷疑而不(bu)(bu)相信(xin)(xin)的(de)(de)態度(du)(du),不(bu)(bu)過(guo)他們(men)還(huan)相信(xin)(xin)五(wu)逆十惡等(deng)重罪以及五(wu)戒十善(shan)(shan)等(deng)福業,能造成因(yin)果報應(ying),因(yin)而修習為(wei)善(shan)(shan)功德(de),愿(yuan)往生(sheng)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界;還(huan)有的(de)(de)眾生(sheng),積(ji)累功德(de)善(shan)(shan)根(gen),希(xi)望求得(de)佛(fo)智、普遍(bian)智、無等(deng)智、威德(de)廣大(da)不(bu)(bu)思議(yi)智,但對(dui)(dui)自己的(de)(de)善(shan)(shan)根(gen)卻不(bu)(bu)能堅定(ding)信(xin)(xin)心(xin),因(yin)此,對(dui)(dui)于(yu)(yu)(yu)是否能往生(sheng)西方(fang)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界,意志(zhi)猶豫(yu)而不(bu)(bu)堅定(ding),對(dui)(dui)于(yu)(yu)(yu)自修善(shan)(shan)根(gen),尚(shang)不(bu)(bu)能一(yi)心(xin)信(xin)(xin)奉,因(yin)而對(dui)(dui)于(yu)(yu)(yu)往生(sheng)佛(fo)國(guo)凈(jing)土,只是半信(xin)(xin)半疑,不(bu)(bu)能一(yi)心(xin)專(zhuan)念(nian),但他畢竟能夠(gou)繼續念(nian)佛(fo)不(bu)(bu)絕(jue),以念(nian)佛(fo)力結成其往生(sheng)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界的(de)(de)善(shan)(shan)愿(yuan),以發愿(yuan)力為(wei)依據,仍得(de)以往生(sheng)西方(fang)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界。
“上(shang)述二類(lei)人,以(yi)他(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)因緣雖得(de)以(yi)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)西方(fang)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界(jie),但(dan)不(bu)(bu)能到(dao)達(da)(da)無(wu)量壽佛的(de)(de)(de)住所。他(ta)們(men)(men)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)路只(zhi)到(dao)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)邊(bian)界(jie)上(shang)的(de)(de)(de)七(qi)寶城(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),這并不(bu)(bu)是阿(a)彌陀佛造成的(de)(de)(de)。能否到(dao)達(da)(da)佛地(di)取(qu)決于他(ta)們(men)(men)自(zi)身(shen)的(de)(de)(de)行為(wei),取(qu)決于他(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)內心取(qu)向。也有(you)犯(fan)有(you)疑惑的(de)(de)(de)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)者從寶池蓮花(hua)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)自(zi)然受(shou)身(shen),這些(xie)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)到(dao)邊(bian)界(jie)疑城(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),飲食方(fang)面(mian)的(de)(de)(de)快樂(le)有(you)如忉利天,但(dan)其在七(qi)寶城(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)不(bu)(bu)能得(de)以(yi)外(wai)出,只(zhi)能居住在平地(di)住宅中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能像其他(ta)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)的(de)(de)(de)圣(sheng)(sheng)眾(zhong)那樣(yang)隨意上(shang)升虛空。在五百年之(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能見(jian)到(dao)阿(a)彌陀佛,不(bu)(bu)能聽聞佛說經法,不(bu)(bu)能見(jian)到(dao)菩薩、聲聞圣(sheng)(sheng)眾(zhong)。這些(xie)人雖有(you)小智而不(bu)(bu)明達(da)(da),對于佛法經典又知之(zhi)不(bu)(bu)多,心靈不(bu)(bu)得(de)開解,精神不(bu)(bu)得(de)歡樂(le),所以(yi)邊(bian)地(di)疑城(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)稱這些(xie)人為(wei)‘胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)’。
“也(ye)(ye)有眾生(sheng)明確地信(xin)奉佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)、乃至勝(sheng)智(zhi),斷(duan)除對佛(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)所(suo)有疑(yi)惑;同(tong)時(shi)也(ye)(ye)堅(jian)信(xin)自(zi)己(ji)的(de)善(shan)根,從而(er)(er)作諸功德善(shan)事,全心全意地回(hui)向凈土,這些眾生(sheng)便(bian)全都得于(yu)七寶蓮花中(zhong)自(zi)然化生(sheng),結跏趺而(er)(er)坐。片刻之(zhi)間,身相形貌(mao)放射光明,其人智(zhi)慧(hui)功德,具足如同(tong)諸菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)。彌勒(le)你應當(dang)知(zhi)道,這些化生(sheng)者之(zhi)所(suo)以得化生(sheng),是(shi)他們的(de)智(zhi)慧(hui)超(chao)過上述胎(tai)生(sheng)者。胎(tai)生(sheng)者,在五百年中(zhong)不(bu)(bu)得見(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)法(fa)僧(seng)三寶,不(bu)(bu)得見(jian)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)作法(fa)儀式,不(bu)(bu)得修習(xi)功德,不(bu)(bu)能得到奉事無(wu)量壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)條(tiao)件(jian)。應當(dang)知(zhi)道,這是(shi)因為這些人在前(qian)世的(de)時(shi)候,沒有智(zhi)慧(hui)而(er)(er)心生(sheng)疑(yi)惑所(suo)造成。”
